Question:
Can you help me with a list of what I need to tow a small trailer with my 2023 Kia Carnival?

Expert Reply:
First you will need the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36KR for your 2023 Kia Carnival. This will give you a 2" receiver which will allow you to use the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45554 which includes the ball mount, 2" ball, pin and clip and locking hitch pin.
The Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59236 will give you a 4-way flat connection for the lights on most small trailers. If you will be pulling a trailer with electric brakes you will need to add the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 and a Brake Controller # RED52VR. The install kit will contain the wiring you need to connect to the 4-way and run the power wire and brake wire to the front of your Kia.
