Remember when gauging your trailer's tongue weight was such a hassle? It often involved wrestling with bathroom scales, which were far from accurate, or making a trip to the weigh station, which took time and effort. Or you had to buy a separate scale. With a Weigh Safe Hitch, it's super-simple. Just hook up your trailer to the ball mount like you would with any other hitch. The moment you connect, the weight of your trailer pushes down on the hitch ball, automatically giving you a measurement on the easy-to-read gauge. It's quick, hassle-free, and takes the guesswork out of towing. Now you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about whether your load is balanced.
The Weigh Safe Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your needs.

Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Weigh Safe Steel Ball Mount with two balls, a built-in scale, and a 2-1/2 inch shank. Now folks, this does come with two different sized balls. First, you have the 2 inch ball. That's rated at 8,000 pounds gross towing weight. And then you got the 2-5/16 inch ball.
That one's rated at 22,000 pounds capacity. Now folks, this does have a nice 8 inch drop or 9 inch rise, and you have 1 inch increments on those holes. Now I wanna show you this whole unit close-up, but I wanna give you a quick close-up on the screen of that scale. So that's what that scale looks like close-up. The tongue weight scale that's built in here helps you balance your trailer, promote safe towing.
It lets you know if you need to adjust your load before you tow if it's too heavy or not enough tow weight or tongue weight. And it's very simple operation and simple to read. As you can see, you got digits that go from zero all the way up to 2,200 pounds, and then you get to the red zone and that kind of stuff. So, very efficient, hassle-free. It eliminates the need for separate or commercial scales.
And the adjustable height will let you pull different trailer heights with the same tow vehicle, and the different sized balls will do the same. Now as you can see, it does come with a nice hitch pin lock and a lock here. This is covered with a rubber cover here, so that's gonna keep dirt, dust, debris, that kind of stuff out, same with this. You get four tube keys. It is keyed alike, so I can simply use this key, take my ball mount out of my hitch by simply unlocking it.
And then that very same key, I can take, come over here, and I can take the ball mount lock out. Now at this point, I could simply take off the head unit here. And let's say I wanna switch to the 2-5/16 inch ball. Well, very simple to do. So back here in the back, you can see that key ring looking thing, just simply pull that out, it usually falls out really easy. Take the 2 inch ball out, put your 2 inch ball back in place, line the pin hole up, put the pin back in. And then when you push the pin in, that ring is recessed in there. And then all you gotta simply do is slide this back on, whatever height you want. And if you wanna end the rise, you would obviously flip this back over to get to the rise. Now once I've got it in place, I simply insert my dual steel pin here. And bear with me here while I get the holes lined up. And once you get that lined up, this pin will go right in. There we go. And then you simply lock it, locked, put the rubber dust cover back on to protect it from dirt and debris, that kind of stuff. And the cool thing with the hitch pin, you simply push it in. You don't have to use the key to lock it, it snaps right on, and it's gonna be back into a locked position just like that. And you put the rubber cover back on, it's not going anywhere. So again, folks, the balls are stainless steel construction. You don't have to worry about rust or corrosion. The high-carbon steel assembly here has been black powder coated for a nice rust-resistant and corrosion-resistant surface as well. So I'm gonna end here with some quick dimensions. Center of the ball to the center of this hitch pin hole, 8 inches. Center of the ball to the center of this hitch pin hole, 9-1/8 inches. Well folks, that will wrap it up. Just a quick look at the Weigh Safe Steel Ball Mount with built-in scale. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.

It takes no time at all. The weight of it does not make it difficult to maneuver. The built-in scale is wonderful for those needing to make sure their tongue weight is within range before towing.
