One Year Update:
After a full year of use, I’m still very happy with this hitch from etrailer. The fit and size were perfect from the start, installation was straightforward, and the quality has held up exactly as expected. No issues with wear, rust, or loosening everything feels solid and reliable. I’ve used it regularly for the bike rack and it continues to perform like the day I installed it. Highly recommend if you want something durable, well made, and easy to set up.
Price from etrailer was good as always. Directions were nice and clear. Ended up doing my own trimming and was able to save one fastener location and more of the panels. Hitch itself was decent overall. Very solid, the wide brackets were the same thickness of the class 3 I bought at the same time for my truck. Had a missing chunk of paint on the visible edge of the safety chain bracket and started surface rusting the first time it rained. Will have to sand and paint that. Would be nice if they gave 2 long and 2 short pull wires instead of just 4 short ones you have to twist together (minor gripe, I know).
Fit perfect on my 2019 Kia Forte LXS. Had to drill 2 holes. In all took about an hour.
Instructions are poor. Instructions have you cut off a lot more of the heatshield than is necessary. You also have to tape 2 of the wires for installing the bolts into the frame together for them to be long enough to reach the bolts closest to the bumper. The original wires are too short by a few inches. Why wouldn't you make them a little longer so this isn't necessary?
Also, hardware bag was missing parts and etrailer's attitude about the issue was very poor. They sent me additional hardware that was delivered 5 days later after I requested 2 day shipping and offered to pay additional money to ensure I could complete the install in the time frame I needed it completed by. I even spoke to a supervisor who blatantly lied to me and assured me I would have the parts in 2 days.
This hitch fit perfectly on 2023 Kia Forte GT. Some drilling is required and patience are required to snake the bolts through the frame.

This isnt the first hitch i have bought. I will continue to buy from you because i can trust the quality of the product and the service. My draw tite hitch has held up to the job after one year and have no complaints. The hitch was easy to install on my 2020 Kia Forte.
Hitch was a perfect fit and was not hard to install. The hardest part was holding the hitch in place while marking the holes to drill. I have a Forte GT and didn't need to cut any mounding or heat shields, but I can see where it would be necessary on the regular trim levels. The only downside is that the receiver sits far back under the bumper which is good for looks but requires an extended ball mount to keep from hitting the bumper when mounting. Hitch came quick but the box was damaged and opened. Luckily there was no damage to anything
My hitch came quickly and was an easy install in my 2023 Kia Forte GTLine. Note: you don’t have to cut as much of the heat shield or plastic under cover as stated in the instructions. You only have to trim just enough to clear the hitch.
I installed this trailer hitch on my new '23 Kia Forte and it fit perfectly. The hitch seems to be well made and very strong, however the paint used leaves a little to be desired, as it chips easily. After the job was done I needed to touch up numerous spots with some black paint. Also, as part of the install the instructions said to trim the exhaust heat shield, as well as a plastic trim panel to allow clearance for the hitch. I found that I didn't need to trim them nearly as much as the instructions said to. A look at the enclosed pics show how much less I trimmed, which makes it look much neater. The cut I made in the plastic trim is only 1 inch wide and 5 1/2 inches long.
Easy Install. Pretty straight forward. Fish wire was a little short on furter placed bolts. Tied two together. The instructions on trimming the heat shield isn't correct in my opinion. Other than that its perfect fit.
Couldnt use the hitch, drilled the holes and was about to mount it and the was able to. There is and area where the spare tire bump in the center hit the hitch and made it impossible to make it fit.

It looks used. I get that it’s a hitch receiver, but it looks completely scratched all over it. There’s no way I would have bought this in the condition it is in if it was in a store.

It is disappointing to receive it and not be able to install it. I wanted to see if you can send a picture of where the spare tire bump is hitting the hitch? Is your Kia a GT model?
