Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this TowSmart trailer hitch receiver adapter. Now, this adapter is going to let you convert any 1 1/4 inch receiver to a 2 inch receiver so you can use your 2 inch hitch mounted accessories with a 1 1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver. So this is gonna be ideal for bike racks, cargo carriers, and other trailer accessories. This does have a maximum trailer weight of 3,500 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 300 pounds.
Just some things to consider when using an adapter like this. This adapter is gonna reduce your tongue weight capacity of your trailer hitch receiver by 50%. And this is not designed for towing applications. Again, this is gonna be for your two inch trailer hitch accessories. I do wanna point out that the hitch pin and clip or hitch lock is not included with this.
If you don't already have something compatible, you would have to pick those items up separately. This is made of durable heavy duty steel construction with a black powder coat finish. It's gonna do a great job of holding up to corrosion and it's gonna hold up in extreme weather as well. You might be wondering about some measurements, and let me see if I can give you some. So let me get my handy dandy tape measure here.
So let me start by giving you the overall length. We're sitting pretty close to 10 1/2 inches. And then let me get my ruler for these other measurements, might be a little bit easier to manage. I'm gonna try to give you the measurement from pinhole to pinhole there on center. So lining that up on center.
Looks like we're sitting pretty close to 6 5/8 inches. And then sometimes our neighbors request the measurement from the center of the pinhole to the end of the shank. So if you're looking for that measurement, from the center to the end, two inches. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that the information that I gave you has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
