Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Have a 2002 Ford Ranger 4x4 and what a wonderful investment, can't believe it took me so long to buy one. This bumper hitch was easy to install. Have been enjoying hooking up to my boat and taking the grand kids fishing and next purchase is a 4 wheeler to keep on hunting.

by:

Finished in stalling #87161 hidden hitch on my 2001 ford ranger xlt and I have to say it fit perfectly. The one thing that made it easier to install is lowering the spare tire, it lets you fit it better. Great product

by:

great hitch for the priceThis hitch will serve its purpose

by:

installed quickly and easily. very happy.

Delivered as expected and installation was simple

by:

Very nice hitch. Free shipping was nice and it even came earlier than I expected. Site has large selection and the best support I have found. I will buy from them again.

by:
1994 Ford Ranger

Took no time at all to install, just wished my 94 ranger had pre-drilled holes. It took almost a hour overall, mostly from loosening rusted on bolts. Great product no issues.

by:

After I was able to remove one of the side bracket bolt with my hot wrench the installation went very smoothly. It looks good and I hope to get many years of service out of it. My dealings with this company was a 5 star experience

Ford Ranger

thanks , it been a pleasure from the time i placed my order to the time i read my email. i was on lunch at work when i read my massage that my trailer hitch had been placed in my garage. it arrived on the forth day and i mounted it on the sixth day. no drilling was required and it is almost unnoticeable on my ford ranger. greeting from south carolina.

by:

I received the hitch in record time. No problems until I find that I had to drill the second on each side. It seems to me that the manufacturer could punch this hole while punching the others. Everybody doesn`t have bits for this job.
Sorry, but I don`t bend and climb very well so no pictures.
BUT THE HITCH SEEMS TO BE A VERY GOOD CHOICE.

Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Great hitch! Shipped fast and I installed it in 20 minutes thanks to the very helpful video. I knew what I was doing the second I opened the box! Very steady and I hope to get lots of use out of it and I will be purchasing a hitch for my ford sport trac also. Great doing business with you guys!

by:

I received my Hidden Hitch trailer hitchpromptly in 3 business days . Express shipping at no extra cost. The product was easily installed and instructions were as easy as 1,2,3. It was very well made and was quite stout. I would recommend this product very well and will enjoy shopping at etrailer.com again.

by:

This was one of the best transactionsI've ever had on an internet order. The communication was prompt & very well done .My hitch arrived on time & in perfect condition. Installation took less than an hour since no drilling was necessary. All in all I'm very happy and glad I choose etrailer for this purchase

by:

The hitch seemed to be stront, but the coating had some chips in it, so I bought a can of bedliner and sprayed it before installing to prevent future rust. One of the bolts stripped when I went to torque it to the 75LB spec, but it seems alright.

The only thing the instructions don't mention is that IF you have a FULL size spare, you will need to lower the spare on the cable before installing the hitch, then raise it back into place when you're done. Overall an easy install and great for the price

by:

The hitch looks stronger than I thought. Installation ,easy. I do it alone in my garage with my laptop in a side viewing your movie. The most I like is the appearance, almost invisible giving a look like if it came with it, looks like fabric. I have a home made trailer for multiple uses. Carry out mower, furniture and cutten trees. So is better carrying the trailer from the hitch than from the pick up bumper.

by:
2000 Ford Ranger

This product fit perfectly and mounted easily. The price was untouchable compared to other online or local sources. The videos that were available to watch on etrailer's web site were very explicit and were a great tool.
I make 30-40 online purchases a month as part of my job and the level of service that I received from etrailer can be matched by only a few and surpassed by none. I highly reccommend the product and etrailer.

by:

Just received my package, I purchased an entire package with everything needed to pull a trailer. It will be a few weeks before my stepson and I install this unit as he will be moving to Houston in the next month or so. Prices for this package was competitive if not lower than other sites and more so that local prices.

I have examined all of the pieces very carefully, the hitch itself looks to be of high quality and extremely sturdy. The delivery was within the time promised and arrived in excellent shape.

To this point I am pleased with my purchase.

by:

Received hitch last week and installed over the weekend. Installed easy, as indicated on your web site. The vidio on your site was extremlly helpful in the installation. Have recommended your company to my brother, as of today.

Hitch looks good and is what I had hoped for.

By the way, free shipping was a big factor in my purchase.

Ford Ranger

I researched this product before I ordered and I was not sure of what I really vibut after going on youtube and saw a video on how to install a tow hitch on my Ford Ranger I saw how simple of a job it was. I just received my hitch after 4 days and it looks like what I saw in the video. I cant wait to install it. Etrailer.com really came through on their promise and they upgraded my shipping to express and did not take long to get the product. It looks like a good heavy duty hitch and I look forward to instlling it and start using it.

by:

The trailer hitch is perfect. It fit with no modifications and was easy to install. It has worked so well over the year that I forgot it was under there. I use it to pull my tool trailer and it has surpassed my expectations. My truck only had a bumper ball so this really opened up a new world for me. Absolutely pleased and absolutely nothing negative to say.

by:

The trailer hitch receiver fits perfectly and installs easily. Quick shipping from etrailer.

by:
1993 Ford Ranger

It came within a few days of ordering. Packaged well, no shipping damage. Installation took an hour only because I had to cut the bolts to the bumper mounted hitch that was already installed. I also had to drill two holes due to my Ranger being the older model. After that it bolted right up with no issues. All the necessary hardware to install the hitch was included. Oh, yeah, it came with instructions, but who reads those!

This is the third time we have purchased a hitch from etrailer along with other products. Every time we have purchased from them we have been very happy. We really appreciate the helpful videos that show step by step how to install the products we have purchased. We also appreciate that they care enough to follow up and see how things are going.
We bought this to replace a Hidden Hitch that had been damaged due to and accident. The original had been on the truck for many year and served us well. We were glad to find this hitch and that it is exactly like the original. We like that, other than the receiver, the entire assembly hides up behind the bumper making for a very clean install. It is on a 2001 Ford Ranger with the Edge package. The truck has a full size spare and the hitch does fit well even with the full size spare. When you install the hitch removing the spare makes for a much easier install. The spare fits right back in place when you are done.
The hitch has been on the truck for about a year now. The finish has held up well and it does exactly what we need it to do.

1999 Mazda B Series Pickup

Excellent service. Excellent product. Just a small issue with fitment. Had to remove two bolts from side brace to bumper. I have not put them back but believe they will fit if turned around so head is to the hitch side.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for 1992 Ford Ranger
For a trailer hitch that is confirmed to fit your 1992 Ford Ranger, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75082. This Class III hitch will provide a 2 inch receiver opening and a towing capacity of 4,000 pounds, although I also recommend verifying your vehicle's capacity as listed in the owner's manual. Then for a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55314. This is a custom-fit harness that will install on your Ranger by connecting...

We do have a solution for you but the # 75082 Draw-Tite hitch isn't a fit for your 2003 Ford F-150. It's for the Ranger and Mazda B Series. No, the trailer hitches will be different between the 2003 Ford Ranger and the 2004 Ford F-150. Both trucks have a different towing capacity, as well as a different mounting pattern up underneath the truck when installed. For the 2003 Ford Ranger I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e29AR because it has a matte black finish and we keep scratches and scuffs that you receive from towing less visible.
