Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Front hitch has been a game changer for hauling bike

by:
2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty

I put this on my 2022 F450 so I can carry a bike rack while carrying my slide in camper. Overall fit was great and the video on this site was very helpful. I did have to slot the brackets on the auxiliary cooler about 1/4" with a file so it could sit up higher so the hitch wouldn't put a lot of pressure on it. After that it all fit together nicely.

I am going to spend a few days at a KOA with my kids and grandkids, dropping my trailer off on the way and being able to ride my bike around at the KOA so I needed a way to carry my bike.

Good price, fast shipping & product as described.

Tough install. I should have removed the bumper

I ordered F250 Tremor Air Dam thinking the fit might be perfect with no cutting. Real happy with the way New Air Dam and Hitch install turned out.

Fit onto the front of a new F-250. It’s a 2 person install but we were pre-pared and are happy with the hitch. We use it for a light duty snow plow for our home driveway.

This hitch is great. I left off the front plastic air ram because mine was cracked and I think the truck looks much better without it. The install was super easy. Used a floor jack to help lift it into place. It only took 40 minutes to install!

Works great; fits nice; and cost was very reasonable. I've used mine to mount a hitch haul tray, a front motorcycle carrier (under 300#); and a 9,000# winch that I not used yet. On my 2023 Ford F350 with the Tremor front air dam, no trimming or cutting of the front air dam was required.

2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Straightforward installation. Would be easier with two people but was manageable with a hydraulic jack and some patience. I suspect it will do exactly as I need providing a mounting spot for my plow and for a bike rack. etrailer has always been my go-to spot for things like this.

by:

I was able to install the hitch in my driveway with my wife handing me tools. The most stressful and time consuming part was was getting the hole in the air dam centered and cut cleanly. I used an oscillating saw to cut the plastic hole. I use the hitch to carry a heavy ebike. Works well.

by:
2024 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Not the easiest one-person trailer hitch I’ve ever mounted. First I found it wouldn’t fit with my skid plates so removed them and planned on using the spacers but had problems getting them to fit. It took some modifications to the spacers to create slots in the spacers since it seemed impossible to do the tape method shown in the video. Once I got it together, without the spacers, I found out that both sides of the spacers won’t fit. So, I put the spacers on one side and torqued everything to specs. Not the best time I’ve had installing a hitch but it finally worked. Why five star? It’s a good trailer hitch.

by:
2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty

I installed this on the front of a 2018 F350. Fit an finish is great. Install was easy and directions simple to follow. Having another set of hands was very helpful, else it would be a balancing act I imagine. No drilling needed except for the cutout in the valence. My use is a cargo basket for four bikes and a kayak rack when pulling my fifth wheel. I have a receiver splitter that allows me to have both the basket and Yak rack mounted at the same time. Load up the toys and go...

5/10/2019

Please keep in mind that the hitch has a 500 lb vertical load limit, which means that the hitch receiver tube can safely withstand a total of 500 lbs. This means that the combined weight of everything bearing down on that receiver, the bikes, the cargo tray, the splitter, the upright load bar and half the weight of the kayaks cannot exceed 500 lbs. Youll also want to make sure the splitter youre using has sufficient capacity for what youre asking it to do.

Fit and finish is great ,customer service is even better

by:
2023 Ford F-450 Super Duty

The box showed up damaged
The install
video is super helpful

Always good company/ vendor to deal with

by:

The hitch is great and everything was as described except there is only one hole in the receiver. There is no 2nd hole for a j-bolt pin as described in the video. This is not really a problem for me as my intended use for the hitch is to mount a bike rack which doesn't need the j-bolt pin.
I only gave it 4 stars because I found the hitch to be harder to install than depicted in the video. Getting the 4 spacers installed was problematic. I only had room to install spacers on one side and even that was tight. Trying to slide the hitch into place with tape holding the spacers as shown in the video did not work for me, as they were pulled off when sliding in. Also, getting tools into the area to work was very difficult. My 1/2" drive ratchet and torque wrench didn't have enough room to work in the space. I just had to get it as tight as I could with a smaller ratchet and that was time consuming since there was limited space to move.

by:

This hitch fit perfectly and is doing a great job. I use it to carry a bike rack when I’m pulling my 5th wheel camper.

by:

Pretty much a strait bolt up job. Trickiest part was cutting the plastic shroud so the hitch could be mounted just below the bumper. I use this hitch when I need exacting placement of trailers and to load extra gear on a hitch hauler on the front of my truck... I love the extra space.

by:

The hitch has worked out well. We hauled two e-bikes several hundred miles with no issues.

by:

easy installation, great fit and sturdy. Thanks!

2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty

The Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch Receiver was a perfect fit on my 2019 F-350. The instructions and the installation video made installation straight forward. It is possible to install in your driveway - just have a couple of 5 gallon buckets handy to support the receiver while you line everything up and move it into place. Also note that if your Ford has bash plates installed on the frame where the receiver is mounted you will NOT need to install the spacers provided with the receiver.

by:

I can't believe how fast e-trailer got my shipment out. I received everything I needed for the install a day before the delivery date. the install was incredibly easy and everything fit perfectly. The hardest part was to figure out where to make the cut through the plastic piece that hangs below the bumper. I am very happy with the results.

by:

Package was damaged and missing the instructions but costumer service helped me and emailed them right away they were great.

by:

The hitch appears to be well made, but the instructions are terrible.

  • Front Mounted Hitch for 2021 Ford F-350 to Carry Bike Rack
A front-mounted hitch on your 2021 Ford F-350 will work to carry your bikes, though there is the possibility that with the bikes loaded on the hitch, the front sensors may be blocked by the bikes. So if you didn't want the possibility those were hampered, I do recommend using the bike rack on the rear hitch, and you'd have to remove the bikes and rack to put your rear tailgate down. • Advantage of EcoHitch Front Hitch Over a Draw-Tite for a 2025 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Hey Geroge, The advantage of the EcoHitch # EH39CR over the Draw-Tite # 65076 for your 2025 Ford F-350 Super Duty is that the receiver sits up higher so you get better clearance for your accessory and you don't lose any ground clearance.
