Question:

I have a 2018 F250 FX4 Super Duty and want to install a 2 inch front hitch. Looking at the Draw-Tite and Curt hitches. What is the length if the 2 inch receiver tube in front of the main mounting beam on both hitches? My truck has the larger front air ram and it would be inconvenient to crawl under the truck every time attaching the pin to the ball receiver. Thanks

The crosstube on the Draw-Tite # 65076 and Curt # C31078 front hitch receivers for your 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty are at different locations than the mounting brackets connected to them. To really determine where the hitch pin hole will be we need to measure where it's at in relation to a corresponding mounting bolt hole.

For your application you'll want to go with the Draw-Tite hitch which has the hitch pin hole 4-1/2" in front of the forwardmost mounting hole (see attached). I wasn't able to get this distance for the Curt hitch but according to all of our other answers the Draw-Tite sits further out so it will be easier to connect your hitch ball to.

I'm attaching an installation video of this hitch on a 2018 Ford F-350 so you can get a good idea of what this will look like once installed.
