Will EcoHitch Front Hitch Fit with Aux Cooler on a 2024 Ford F-450 Platinum

Question:

I have a 2024 F450 6.7 platinum with the front auxiliary radiator. I love that this receiver sits a little higher, and cleaner inside the bumper. How close of a fit is it with the radiator? Do all mounting holes still line up? I’m not opposed to modifying the frame of the hitch itself to push it out a bit past the radiator but want to make sure it will still work, or see if you know of any other options? Thanks!

Hey Mark, I like the truck!

The EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH54QR won't fit your truck since it has that auxiliary cooler, or at least that's what EcoHitch has told us. They've said there simply isn't enough room for it to fit so either the cooler takes up the space, or there will be some heavy modifications that need to be done in order for both products to fit.

Although I do prefer the higher hitch installation myself (in regard to look), it will be better to stick with the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65076 since we know it for sure fits. This receiver is still located in the fascia so you won't lose any ground clearance or anything like that.

Hey Mark, how did things turn out with the Draw-Tite front hitch on your F-450? Did it clear the auxiliary radiator the way you needed? Your update could make it easier for others working with that same setup.

@JonG Yes the draw tite front hitch went in without issue. I switched to a tremor style valance so I didn’t have to do any cutting. It is low so I use a riser when mounting my winch. I still wish there was an option for the F450 with the receiver in the grill but this will do until one is created!
