Fit as expected on my mini Cooper Clubman. Sturdy & discreet. Fits my bike rack as expected. No problems hauling my bike. Very satisfied.
The hitch itself fit well. According to the install instructions provided here and the review, this is listed as a more challenging level of install. While I don't disagree, I think better instructions would enhance the installation experience.
While installing the most challening part is understanding how the fender trim moulding is attached so one can loosen it and remove as necessary for access to the bumper cover retainers. The instructions were not clear in providing this information, as there are two different types of retaining clips on this trim, and it is possible to damage the trim or clips if you do not understand how they are assembled.
The same is true for the bumper cover itself, simply prying out and forward was not exactly good guidance as it was not as simple as that. It took quite a bit of force on the leading edge of the bumper cover pulling pretty much straight back. The reason? Again it has to do with the little lip at the top edge of the bumper cover corner that wraps around to the fender. If I had known how that actually attached, it would have made the removal process easier, and would have minimized the chance for damage to paint or plastic bits.
After that it's pretty easy other than not having the right deep well socket I needed, but can't blame that on anyone here! Fit was great, feels solid!
The only other comment is rembmer when the hitch is installed, the bumper plate will now be a little bit further out so the fastners in the center of the bumper cover are a little more difficult to install as everything is more "compressed" if you will.
All in all, good product, could use more pictures (and make some of the included pictures in the instruction visible-some were quite dark even when viewed on a computer screen it was difficult to ascertain what was trying to be relayed in the image).
I took my mini clubman 2016 to the mini dealership. As per the dealership they were very satisfied with the product. For them it was easy to add the hitch and I paid less for the assembly than what I was quoted. The dealership will recommend this product to other customers who would like to have a bike rack on their car.
Ordering was easy, shipping notifications are second to none and explain where my order is at every step. The tracking shows a little map of my item moving from etrailer to my home.
The etrailer directions for the install on my Mini Clubman where very detailed. That was important to me as installing the hitch on a mini can be intimidating. I thought I could do it in less than an hour, but it took 1.5 hours from start to cleanup.
The hardest part was removing the Mini Cooper Bumper shell, but if you move slowly it isn’t too difficult.

Hitch arrived on time and in great condition. Installation instructions included were easy to follow and comprehensive. This is not my first positive experience with E-Trailer! I have purchased other hitches and products from them and have been 100% satisfied!
The hitch arrived when promised. It looked like a quality product. Gathered all required tools and with assistance of a body shop repair owner & retired mechanic we attempted install on 2018 Mini Clubman. After 2 hours of attempting to follow directions we gave up. Local Mini dealership wouldn’t even attempt to install it for me. Not happy.

I guess the main issue with my model/year is that there are numerous trim pieces which have to be removed in order to do the install. Some of these pieces are one use trim parts, in other words plastic clips have to be replaced after removing the piece.
Very helpful in choosing the proper product. Shipped promptly

I’m very satisfied with my hitch , you did a fantastic job, just what I needed.
Super easy install. Had it installed less than 2 hours. The instructions make it pretty easy. If I can do it any body can. Just takes time and patience
Took about an hour to install. Everything was easy enough. The most difficult part is removing the fascia and bumper without damaging any of the clips. Great product with spot on directions!
