Today we're gonna take a quick at the replacement SpeedKnob for Yakima HoldUp EVO and SingleSpeed bike racks. This is going to be the portion that actually tightens your bike rack down. We're gonna have this knob at the one end with our place for the locking core. It does not come with a lock core so you'll either have to replace that with the original one from your Yakima bike rack or you can pick up a new SKS system here at etrailer.com. And at the other end we'll have our tensioning rod with that little wedge piece that's actually going to go into our hitch and wedge in place. And that's what's going to give us our anti-rattle function.
So it keeps our bike rack from falling, moving around side to side but also up and down, and it just overall locks it into place.We'll also have the hardware on here. We'll have our split washer and our dust cap for our locking cover. There's the acorn nut at the end to get that attached into our bike rack. Now again this is gonna work for the Yakima HoldUp EVO. Those part numbers are available as Y02479, Y02479-2 or Y02480.
And the SingleSpeed is gonna be part number Y02481. That's gonna do it for our look at the replacement SpeedKnob for Yakima HoldUp EVO and SingleSpeed bike racks.
