This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you towing and accessory capability without going overboard. It’s a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening, rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and 200 lbs of tongue weight. That’s plenty of strength for light-duty trailers, small utility hauls, or everyday racks and carriers.
The sturdy, square-tube design is precision robotic-welded for consistent strength and proper alignment. A gloss black powder coat is applied over a protective base coat to fend off rust and keep the hitch looking sharp after years of exposure. This solid build holds up when you’re towing or carrying gear through different weather conditions.
You don’t need special tools or a shop lift to get this hitch on your vehicle. It’s a custom-fit, bolt-on design—no welding needed—and it comes with the complete hardware kit and installation instructions. Most folks can handle the install right in their driveway using standard tools.
Once installed, the 1-1/4" receiver is set up for popular accessories like drawbars, cargo baskets, and bike racks. Very Difficult to install. Instructions state one hour. It took much longer.
Great hitch, would have been nice to have the option of getting it with wiring harness
Easy to order. etrailer website suggested a hitch that fits our car, when the uhaul website did not have a match. (HOpefully we can install it ok!)

Overall very happy with the hitch. It's highly unlikely it can be installed in an hour even by a professional. Just removing the third screw of the exhaust tips was 10 minutes and needed a very thin ratchet to remove.
In hindsight, I would have made the rearmost slotted hole the 1/2 inch and drilled a new 1-1/8" hole towards the front with a step bit. Way easier. All the load for a bike rack is on the larger hole toward the rear the way it is and would be stronger the other way. The hitch flanges also arrived bent so we had to flare the mounting ends to be parallel with the frame so it would be centered. 3 hours later, I was very happy I did it and it looks great. You can barely see it. Plan for more than an hour. 2023 E350
