Question:

Hi. I have a 2018 Mercedes-Benz e400 2 door coupe. I have had trouble getting a hitch for it despite several attempts looking for a trunk rack that will work. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hi Donald; according to Curt the # C11454 fits all models of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E400, including the coupe. This would allow you to use a Class I compatible bike rack like the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 # SH12G. It doesn't look like there are any hanging bike racks that will fit the coupe so this is the best option.

Turns out we have already tried that hitch and it does not work. Working with the folks at Curt to see why not Thanks anyway.

@DonaldN I'm sorry to hear that. That is surprising since they're always on the ball with fitment of their hitches. If for some reason they aren't able to sort it out and you find that installation is impossible you can always take the # E-9 to a local fabricator and have them fashion a custom hitch for your vehicle.
