When you just need to tow a small trailer, boat, or utility hauler, this Curt Class I hitch gets it done. It’s rated for 2,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 200 lbs maximum tongue weight, making it perfect for light-duty towing. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening works with Class I ball mounts and accessories so you can carry what you need without overloading your setup.
You don’t need a lift or a full tool chest to add this hitch. The bolt-on install uses factory mounting points—no drilling or welding needed—and the complete hardware kit and instructions come in the box. It’s built for DIY installation in the driveway using basic tools and a little patience.
The square-tube design is fully welded for strength and durability. A gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to guard against rust and chips from daily use or harsh weather. Once it’s on, it looks clean and factory tight under the bumper.
This 1-1/4" receiver is ideal for small bike racks or cargo carriers designed for Class I hitches. It gives you extra carrying options when you need a little more space on the road or a way to bring your bikes along without loading up the trunk.

Hitch is great, it came with all need to get it done, but the instructions are optimistic. They claim 30 minutes by a pro and one hour for DIY to install, right, it will take that long just to drop the exhaust! Plan on two to three hours.
I will say etrailer's service was great. They had the hitch in stock, got it out the day I ordered and was delivered in two days to Ga. with no charge shipping. That's service.
4.5 stars. Installation instructions were accurate. The exhaust heat shield and the lower bumper fascia had to be trimmed as stated. I am happy with the result and the great customer service etrailer !
Hitch arrived promptly and hitch fit perfectly. I would have rated excellent if step 7 of the install warned about making sure the exhaust was in the correct position before torquing the 1/2" fasteners.
I had trouble raising the exhaust in step 7 because the exhaust tips were below the hitch cross bar. The install really requires that the hitch and the exhaust are raised together, with the exhaust tips above the hitch crossbar. I propose that step 7 be modified to read something like the below:
Make sure the hitch crossbar is under the exhaust tips and that the brackets that secure the exhaust to the end of the frame rails are positioned to the rear of the frame rails. Raise hitch into position, being careful not to push bolts back into frame. Secure with 1/2" flange hex nuts. Torque all 1/2" hardware to 110 lb-ft.
Curt cargo rack.Looks good holds up well with plenty weight on a road trip.. i especially like the waterproof cargo bag as well, very strong great material, worth the extra money.
