Question:

I am curious about why the listed trailer hitchs are NOT listed as being able to fit the ATS-V model. Dont know that it matters, but the intended use is for a platform style bike rack, not towing. By the way, thanks for your previous support of GORC Gateway Off Road Cyclists. Thanks for your time,

I have a bike rack solution I can recommend, but the V-models have exhaust clearance issues that prevent the hitches from installing. It's the same thing on the CTS models. The center exhaust prevents a hitch from fitting.

The Thule OutWay part # TH45JV is a trunk mounted bike rack that would work well for you.

What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses only 2 rubber coated straps to attach to the vehicle rather than 6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer.

This rack comes with locks for both the rack and the bikes to deter theft and is the most popular rack that we have.

If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
