Instructions are very clear and explain with color photos. Very hard to make a mistake here. I installed mine in about 20 mins with no issues. The fish wire was a nice touch but not needed as I was able to hold the backing plates with carriage bolts on them in place as I stabbed the hitch and started the locking nuts.
This is a good product and well thought out. If I were to add anything to it, I would have a stabilizer attachment bar across the top to where I could attach straps to secure my hitch-hauler from rocking.
A year later this hitch still holds up and works good on my little Camaro. I use it to tow motorcycles on a trailer. Wiring was tricky to figure out ... instructions were useless, but hitch itself has held up well. No signs of rust either. I'd recommend. Make sure to order the correct one as a convertible uses a different one than a hardtop.
After 1 year of a fair amount of use as receiver for my bike carrier, this hitch has done very well. I've bought 3 hitches over the years from etrailer for bike racks and pulling jetski trailers. Each one has been a great purchase
It bolted on like it came from Chevrolet. A perfect fit!
In a word, perfection! The product was incredibly easy to install. The snake-bolt threader was especially appreciated with the simple 5 part instruction manual. Shipping came a day earlier than expected and the box was robust without being wasteful.
Great looking, solid hitch. Fairly clean installation. The fish-wiring of the fastener bolts thru the under body framework was ingenious!! Was able to install the same bike rack that was previously used on my Jeep.
Worked well. Did need to add a 6 inch hitch extension to move the ball hitch away from the bumper facia.

This hitch has been working perfectly. It has been used for two 1600 mile trips and several short trips. Solid and accurate. Very pleased.
