Ground Clearance Measurement for Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13332
Updated 11/29/2017 | Published 11/28/2017 >
Question:
What is the measurement from the top of the hitch mounting plates where the bolts go to the frame and the bottom of the 2inch receiver? Or, if you have any pics of this curt 13332 mounted on a 2004 Silverado, that would be helpful as well. All I can find are pics of this hitch on new, new body styleinch 2007 and newer and not on the new body styleinch of my 2004 Silverado 1500.

The Curt Class IIII Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13332 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500. I went out to our warehouse so I could take a measurement on the hitch from the top of the mounting brackets to the bottom of the 2 inch receiver. I measured a distance of right at 8-1/8 inches. You can take this measurement down from where the hitch will attach on your Silverado to see exactly how far the receiver will drop below the truck.
This custom-fit hitch will use existing holes in your Silverado's frame for a no-drill installation. It will provide a 2 inch receiver opening along with a 6,000 pound towing weight capacity and 600 tongue weight capacity. I have attached the complete installation instructions that you can also take a look at.
