This hitch is built for real-world use. With a 6,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 600 lbs maximum tongue weight, it’s ready for small campers, boats, or loaded cargo carriers. When used with weight distribution, it handles up to 9,000 lbs GTW and 900 lbs TW. Installing this hitch is straightforward thanks to its custom-fit design. It bolts directly onto the frame using included hardware—no cutting, trimming, or welding required. The complete hardware kit and instructions give you everything you need to get it mounted securely with basic hand tools. Once it’s on, the visible cross tube is neatly tucked while still allowing easy access to the receiver opening.

Install was quick and easy on my 06 Dodge Durango. Towed a 6x12 u-haul trailer the next day from Virginia to Florida with no issues. Great product.
It would have been very easy to install if the right hardware was in the package. Out of the six bolts required there was four in the package and they were an inch too long, so the 30 minute install time took a trip to the hardware store and two hours later it was done. Other than that it is clean and simple
Great product. Took me about 20 minutes to bolt on. Check out the youtube video installation instructions. Don't think it could have been any easier.
What a GREAT trailer hitch.
Hitch came wrapped well with plenty of fasteners. The bolt that they say to reuse would not come out far enough so both rear body mount bolts and rubbers were removed. Once those were out of the way it was smooth sailing with an extra set of hands. I think you could have used the original hardware but since there were all new bolts we used them.
2004 Dodge Durango The hitch receiver fits great, clears the exhaust and spare tire easily. Installation wasnt too dificult ( i used a frame engaging lift and an assistant) figuring the washer stack was guess and place like most things. The round tubing looks good and doesn't interfer with loading in the rear
Fit was fine but needed some extra spacing washers, bolts provided could be 1/2 inch shorter. Make sure you order extra parts for mounting your electrical light plug in for your trailer.
Installed hitch all by my self and installation was a snap. Very good product and shipping was very fast.

Quick easy install. Everything fit like it should. Came with Everything necessary to install.
Delivered as promised.....harder to install then video showed. Took about 2.5 hours. The spacers were a pain to get on and stay on while trying to get the hitch in place.
This has served me very well for over a year now. Easy installation on the Dodge Durango, no problems. We have used it without any issues at all on the usual stuff like pulling a small trailer to pulling our 26' camper. no problems whatsoever. Very pleased!

The box it came in was ripped open on both sides. Once I opened the box I saw that no real damage was done (scuffed paint) and all the accessories were not lost.
I installed it by myself with the aide of a floor jack. It took about 2 hours. I am very happy with the fit and finish. It looks factory-installed. I recommend this product. I can't wait to drag my trailer down the road.

I need 48 inches. You gave me 49-3/4 inches and two spacers 1/2 inch each. That is 3/4 inches too wide.

I haven't put it on yet but it's a solidly-built hunk of metal! Finish is very good and the welds are clean. I am confident in the quality of this accessory. Shouldn't be too hard to install from looking at the instructions.

Very easy to install, hasn't rusted. Still loos like new even the etrailer.com sticker. Seems to handle well from small trailer to the 7 pin 14 footer I was hauling.

Wow, this Hitch Receiver has been an excellent purchase. It's been used weekly for one year now and so far has performed flawlessly. Would definitely recommend it.
I purchased the Curt Trailer Hitch and used it now for several months. It was a perfect fit for my vehicle. It had everything included that was necessary for installation. However, it is heavy. To install, you'll need two persons to lift and hold it in place until you get the first couple of bolts in place. Or, you can do as I did and use jack stands to hold it up while sliding in the bolts. For novice installers, you can use a screw driver or punch to line up the metal plate bolt holes to be able to slide in the bolts. The hitch is heavy because it is a very strong hitch. I feel very comfortable using it to tow my 5,000 lb. travel trailer. I highly recommend this hitch.
New hitch and all parts were great! Wiring was easy to install worked perfect. No problems other than rusty bolts to remove. Will use it go get a camping trailer i just purchased. I recommend Etrailer for all your trailer needs. This is my second purchase and it was perfect both times. Keep up the good work Etrailer!!!!

Quick and easy to install. Fit perfectly on my 2005 Dodge Durango Limited. Had my daughter assist me with holding up one side while I slide the bolts in for the other side. If the factory bolts weren't so rusted, I'm sure I could have had her install it for me. Great product and will continue ordering parts from here, as this is the 3rd time I've ordered things from etrailer.

I had one on my 2005 Durango that I purchased from your place up until January of this year I was involved in a car accident and if it was not for having the hitch on my truck it could have been worse then it was
From the impact of the other car it bent the hitch and protected the rest of the underside of my truck here some pictures of it

I’ve since sold the Durango, but the new owner actually bought it from me because it had a hitch system installed. It worked flawlessly for me the entire time I used it, which was every week once a week for over a year. It was a fantastic product.
