This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you solid towing capability for light to moderate loads. With a 4,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 400-lb tongue weight, you can tow small campers, boats, or utility trailers with ease. When used with weight distribution, those limits increase to 6,000 lbs GTW and 600 lbs TW. The 2" x 2" receiver opening fits most ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers designed for standard Class III setups.
The hitch is made from sturdy, square-tube steel and features precision, robotic welding for maximum strength and consistent performance. A gloss black powder coat finish layered over a protective base coat guards against rust and corrosion, so it keeps looking good even after years of exposure to the elements.
This hitch bolts right to the vehicle's frame using existing mounting points—no welding required. The complete hardware kit and clear instructions make it practical for a DIY install with basic tools in your garage or driveway. The visible cross tube design gives you strong support without sacrificing accessibility for hitch accessories or wiring connections.
Each hitch is custom fit for proper alignment and secure mounting. The precision design helps the bolt holes line up cleanly with the frame so you spend less time adjusting during installation. Once installed, the receiver sits solid and straight, ready for towing or cargo use without extra modifications.

Easy install. Make sure you have a good 1/2 inch drill bit on hand. It will make the job so much easier. I suggest buying a new one for this install.
Fits fine but the bolts would not (fish) thru the hole in the frame, the heads on the bolts were to big. Had to use a bigger hole further up the frame and add a short piece of wire to the included fish wire since it would not reach.
Not difficult to install. Very well made receiver build to last! I have always received top notch service from etrailer and this purchase was no exception.
Mounted by myself in front yard. Kit has everything you need. Have been pulling my boat and utility trailer with no problems.
The trailer hitch was very well constructed, which is very important to us. We will be using the hitch to pull a drag car to the local race tracks.
I agree with Richard Burnham Jr. post on 5/1/11. Easy to install. Took about an hour, which includes gathering tools and cleaning up afterwards. Shipping was free and fast.
I would give you five stars but the information on how to install the trailer hitch needs to be more clear, and that you needed to drill holes in the frame to finish the install thanks
I haven’t had my hitch installed yet but the service from the company was outstanding. With very prompt FREE delivery. The hitch does appear to be of the highest quality. I will be using it for a 2 bike carrier.

Got hitch on time. Tracking info was excellent. Had my mechanic to install and he had no problems. Reasonable price quick shipping good customer service.
this was an easy to install product for my husband! he didnt know what fishwire was and it was still a snap(once he found out what it was for). Shipping was extremely FAST which was helpful and although he didnt use the customer service they seem readily available. Communication emails from this company were great every step of the way which provided a great experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Loved this product it was easy to install they provided the wire to feed the bolts through the frame. The hitch lined up perfectly with the factory holes and the other holes were easy to drill because they predrilled the holes for you on the hitch. I pulled my boat the same day I installed the hitch and all together only took about half an hour could be done in less time if you had a lift. The costumer service was astounding they not only got my order quickly processed but they up graded my shipping for free and I got my order the next day. The product was a trailer hitch and wiring kit for a Ford Windstar 2000. The installation went quickly and was exactly like the instruction video. The total time of the hitch and wiring took just over 2 1/2 hours. I drilled two holes on each side, otherwise it was a straight bolt-on installation. The slotted bolts with the pull-through wires made the bolt positioning very easy. In summary, the Etrailer.com company is obviously a well managed, well staffed group that knows their business, is customer oriented and has competitive pricing. I never dealt with a company that was more satisfying. I especially enjoyed working with you, Dylan.
This is the 3rd hitch I've bought from this site. The first 2 were 1 1/4" since I have a small camping trailer, a small car and a minivan. Both fit perfectly & were easy to install. I recently bought the 2" hitch to accommodate my new bike hauler.
I also bought the wiring kits and wish I'd installed the van kit before I went on vacation in 2011. It turned out that someone had previously installed a wiring kit on my van, so I went with that. It failed after 3 days. For the next 4 weeks we rigged a system that plugged into a power point in the back of the van. It had to be unplugged every time we stopped. It sucked.
After arriving home, I installed the wiring kit that I got from etrailer.com, and and have been running fine ever since.
After all of the trouble this van has had (Ford Windstar, 2003), I'm guessing that it won't last much longer, but when I replace it, I'll definitely buy a hitch from etrailer.com. I've had nothing but good results with the hitches & wiring kits.
Good product at good price not hard at all to put in. Was worried when I first looked under van cuz there are some A/C line's back there and I don't remember seeing them in the video but the hitch does not go back that far. this was the second hitch I have bought from etrailer and have had no problems and shipping is always fast..

The hitch we bought is excellent. We installed it on our van to haul our small trailer. It is still holding up. A friend of ours installed it for us. It was definitely a good investment.
Great Hitch. Installed easily on my minivan. The instructions and install kit made it very quick and simple. I'm able to use a tow basket on the back of my van now.
