Today well be reviewing part number HT58. This is the Brophy hitch adapter, thats going to convert your inch and five-eighths hitch to a two-inch hitch. It has a really nice black powder coated finish thats going to help stand up against rust and corrosion.Keep in mind that this extender or this adapter is for use with bike carriers and cargo carriers. Probably need to stay away from some larger, heavier items, so its not to be used for your regular towing or with snowplows. When using this adapter, your weight capacity of the hitch will be reduced by fifty percent. You also need to use a hitch pin and clip, that is sold separately.
This is available as part number PC3. This part right here is the part thats going to slide into the receiver tube of your hitch, and heres your two-inch conversion, so youll be able to slide in your accessory. Youll secure your accessory by using the pin and clip, and you can also secure this to your hitch by using the pin and clip. Now Id like to go over some basic measurements. The overall length of our adapter is right around eleven inches. From the center of one hole to the center of the other, we have about seven and a quarter inches.
The receiver sleeve measures at six and a half inches, and the part that slides into the hitch on our vehicle is right around four inches. Thats going to complete todays review of part number HT58, the Brophy hitch adapter, thats going to convert your inch and five eighths hitch to a two-inch hitch. .
