Is Hitch Adapter Available To Reduce 2 Inch Receiver To 1-5/8 Inch For Bike Carrier

Question:
I had a 1 5/8 hitch installed on an old hatchback. I have a 1 5/8inch male end on my bike rack. My new vehicle has a 2inch receiver. Where can I find a tube that is 1 5/8inch ID with 2inch OD?

We do not offer a hitch adapter that will reduce the 2 inch hitch on your new vehicle to accommodate the 1-5/8 inch shank on your bike rack. Anytime you use an adapter on your hitch it will reduce the load carrying capacity of the hitch by 50 percent.
My recommendation is to find a bike carrier that will mount to your new 2 inch receiver. If you want to send me information about your vehicle and how many bikes you wish to carry I can make some recommendations for you.
I have attached a link to our product page for some of the 2 inch bike carriers we do offer you can check out. You can use the menu at the left of the page to narrow your search and find a carrier that meets you needs.
