Is There A 1.5" Hitch To 2" Hitch Adapter?

I have a 1 1/2 inch receiver and a 2 inch bike rack, do you have a reducer for that? If I use the 1 1/4 inch will it wobble?

Hi Dan!
I have a couple potentially dumb questions. Are you sure you have a 1.5" hitch receiver? Was that measured at the inside or outside of the hitch opening? And if it is truly 1.5" for the inside of the receiver, what is this hitch on? The standard hitch sizes are 1-1/4", 2", 2-1/2", and in some cases 3", so I am definitely curious.
Now to answer your question, you could use something like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch - 6-1/2" Long # e43YR reducer, but there would definitely be rattling. You could fix that with spacers (like washers on either side of the shank where the pin goes through), but I would still recommend another anti-rattle device to make sure it really wouldn't move in there. There aren't any specifically designed for a 1.5" hitch, but I think the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061 would get the job done. Kind of a simple design, but it's also one of the best on the market.
If it was slightly over 1.5", you could use the Brophy Hitch Adapter 1-5/8" to 2" # HT58. This was used on the very uncommon 1-5/8" (or 1.625") hitches that showed up on early 90s Dodge vans every now and then, but I'm not sure what else.

I bought the 1.5” hitch receiver and then a 2” adaptor for my bike rack because it was cheaper than just buying the 2” hitch receiver. While it works, the adaptor sticks out pretty far, and the rack (or the adaptor) vibrates pretty loudly. The adaptor works but I wish I had just bought the proper receiver in the first place ???????
