Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're taking a look at this Bulldog Square Adjustable Gooseneck Coupler. Now, this user-friendly square gooseneck coupler with this topwind crank is gonna give you the flexibility to use your trailer with different tow vehicles, allowing you to more easily adjust the height of your coupler. Now, this is heavy duty, it is constructed out of a high-strength, fabricated steel, and it is SAE compliant. Now, at the very bottom here, there is a self-centering locking plate, and that self-centering locking plate is going to to engage the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball even if you miss the ball by just over an inch, and once it installs, it gives you a tight ball fit to help reduce jarring and rattling. And we also have this easy-to-grip locking handle, which is a high-profile design, and it's gonna make it very simple to use even when you're wearing gloves as I am here, and it's gonna be easily adjustable with this cam locking pin that locks in our plate. Now, when you couple this, you just align your hitch ball beneath the coupler, and then you would set our locking handle here to the open position.
So as you can see, it does swing side to side, and to bring it to that open position, you just pull it up, and you can swing it over to this side or to the other side, and now, we are set in the open in position, the pin has now come out from our plate, and then you would set that plate to the open position and then lower the trailer onto the hitch ball. You do wanna make sure that the hitch ball is fully seated in the coupler, and then once it is, you would just slide that locking plate to the closed position, and then you will take your locking handle and then put that into the closed position as well, and that will lock it into place and you are ready to go. When you are ready to uncouple, you will just, again, take the handle, move that to the open position, and then you would want to slide that locking plate here at the bottom to the open position, and then you would just raise the trailer from the hitch ball. Now, as you can see here, this does include the set bolt, and the capacity is 30,000 pounds. And it is again designed to fit the standard 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, and as I mentioned earlier this is constructed of high-strength, fabricated steel, and is ready to be primed and painted.
A nice feature here is that our labels are covered with stickers, so they can be primed and painted over, and then you can just remove the stickers here from the labels, and they will be clearly visible. Now, the retracted height is 32 inches and the extended height is 49 inches, and this is gonna give you a range of about seven inches, and the outer tube diameter is 4 1/2 inches, and then the inner tube diameter is four inches. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
