Today we are going to take a look at the Taylor Made 15' long stainless steel gas shock. Now this gas shock will replace one worn-out or damaged shock on your boat hatch. This is a stainless steel construction, so it does provide maximum corrosion resistance. So it's perfect for high saltwater areas. It does easily install in minutes, there's no special tools required and when you do install the shock, you always want to install it with this rod portion facing down. And it is always recommended to replace gas shocks in pairs.
And it's pretty simple to install.Let me just zoom in so you can sort of see the end right here. But if you look on it, the connection type is a removable 10mm ball-socket. So this will install onto a ball that's on the boat hatch, but basically all you have to do is this cap portion. If you just pull up on it like that, that'll release the tension on the clip. Pop it onto the ball, and then push that down, it'll lock it into place.
Simple as that. Again, total length on this, and that's always measured from the center of this ball mount to the center of this one. So if we take our ruler and go center to center, there's your 15' length. And the force that this gas shock has is 20 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Taylor Made 15' long stainless steel gas shock..
