How's it going, Subaru owners This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're gonna take a look at one of the best ways to protect the carpet in the back of your vehicle. I have the WeatherTech floor liner rear over the hump protection floor mats for your 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition. So one thing that you may notice with this floor mat is the fact that you have this center hump that's gonna go over that hump in your rear seats and give you protection for all of the surfaces in your vehicle. So let's go ahead and throw it in the back of the Subaru and see how it fits. Alright, now we're just going to install our floor liner into our backseat. And the cool thing is, it's going to fit right into the contour of the floor.

So you just kind of allow it to find the edge and it'll fall right into place. The thing that's cool about the floor liner is the fact that you have these channels built in and it's a textured surface so you can get a nice grip and you have a nice high wall that's gonna go up to your plastics to keep everything nice and protected. Another cool thing about that high wall, it's gonna allow liquids to pull on the inside of the cover to keep from damaging your rug. So that's actually what's most important and it's gonna give you a lot of coverage, even going over the center hub. If you ever ridden in the back of a vehicle, I know when I do, I'm gonna rest my foot right there and that's gonna keep this patch of carpet looking nice and new.

So I'm gonna directly compare the Subaru mats to the WeatherTech mats. And you can see that these are nice, they're not bad, they have a nice texture on the back. They have nibs to hold 'em into position. And you know, they're a little bit floppier 'cause they're not solid core like the floor liner. But I wouldn't say that they're bad.

The one thing that's gonna hands down be your difference, it's just the amount of coverage that you're getting as far as protection. So, not only are you getting just this space in here, you're getting that over-the-hump protection and this higher up protection on the plastics as well. Overall, I think that WeatherTech makes solid floor mats and liners that are gonna keep the inside of your vehicle looking nice and new. One thing that I tell people when they ask me about WeatherTech liners, when you make your purchase, you definitely want to get the the tech liner cleaner. That's gonna help keep everything looking nice and new for longer.
