I am submitting this review even though all of your customers MUST know you have one of the best, if not THE best, trailer company in the USA. You have the best products, the best selection for various applications, and no other company can beat your prices... I already purchased a lot of your products and believe me when I say I did extensive research on the exact same products before submitting my orders due to my limited funds. All of your staff are kind, courteous, patient (when it comes to helping a trailer-newbie, such as myself) understanding, very knowledgeable, and professional. Submitting an order is easy, and all of my various orders where shipped almost instantaneously and arrived on schedule. You are the best... and then, there are all the rest! Thank you for having such a great operation!

  • Adapter Fittings For A Transmission Cooler In A 1999 Ford F-250
We currently offer two different female adapters for Ford: Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford and Lincoln # D13024. This comes with a 1/2" female inverted flare fitting. Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford and Mercury # D13014. This comes with a 1/4" female NPT fitting. If neither of these are a fit then you'd want to check out your local auto parts or hardware store, which would likely have a better selection.

  • Transmission Cooler Installation Tips for a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis LS
The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13503, would be a great choice for your 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis, as long as there is room in front of the radiator and ac condenser for the cooler to mount. Measure to be sure before purchasing, but most likely you will have plenty of room. The best tip I can give is to do some research on your vehicle. Check the radiator fittings and see if there are NPT (national pipe thread) fittings or Inverted flare fittings. Your vehicle...

  • Transmission and Oil Cooler, Rear Helper Springs, and Towing Mirrors for a 2001 Ford E-350
I have some excellent recommendations that will not only help your 2001 Ford E-350 van last a long time but will also keep you under budget. First, instead of just a transmission cooler, I recommend a combination engine oil and transmission fluid cooler # D15902. This will help both the transmission and engine run cooler which will in turn help get the longest life out of them. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you. For the transmission cooler part of this combination...

  • What Transmission Cooler and Installation Kit for 1997 Ford F-350 7.3L V8 Power Stroke Diesel
We have several options in transmission coolers for your 1997 F-350 7.3L V8 Power Stroke diesel and all can be seen on the link provided. Coolers are not vehicle-specific so you can use as large a cooler as you have space to mount it. The linked articles will give you plenty of useful guidance about placement that will guide your choice. If your truck uses 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch NPT trans-line type fittings you will need to use install kit # D13014; if it uses 1/2-inch-20 partial thread...

  • What Transmission Cooler Fitting Will Fit On 2002 Ford F150 With 4.2 Liter V6
The transmission cooler fittings you have referenced, # D13018, are not the correct part for your 2002 Ford F150 with 4.2L V6. For the 2002 Ford F150 with 4.2 L V6, it depends on what size transmission line fittings you have. If you have 5/8 inches-18 transmission line fittings you would use the Transmission Cooler Fitting, # D13025. If you have the 1/2 inches-20 transmission line fittings you would use Transmission Cooler Fitting, # D13024.

  • Hose Size and Fittings to Install a Transmission Cooler on a 2010 Ford F-150 4.6 Liter
The type of fitting to use will depend on the thread type used on the transmission line fittings on your 2010 Ford F-150. If they are 1/2"-20 threads use kit # D13024. If they are 5/8"-18 use # D13025. If you can measure the diameter of the threaded part of a fitting on your truck that will tell us which one is correct. If you are getting a kit such as # D13504 then the proper size hose is included. The standard hose is 11/32 inches inner diameter.

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2009 Ford F-150
Both the Derale Transmission Coolers # D13503 and # D13504 referenced in your question are great options for your 2009 Ford F-150. Between the two options, I recommend going with the Derale # D13504, as its slightly larger size will allow for a greater cooling capacity. The unit measures 11 inches wide, 12 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep. As long as you have the required space behind the grille of your F-150, this cooler will work perfectly. If your F-150 has the 1/2"-20 thread on the...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation For A 1989 Ford F-250 With 460 c.i. Engine And C6 Transmission
Thanks for checking back with us for your towing needs. For your 1989 Ford F-250 with the 7.5L (460 c.i.) engine and towing a 7500 lbs trailer I would recommend using a Class IV transmission cooler. The Class IV rating will handle towing up to 12000 lbs. The Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13504, that you have referenced is a plate-fin cooler and is one of the best Class IV coolers we carry. The Derale transmission cooler will fit inline with your factory transmission cooler. The...

  • Best Upgrades for Towing With a 2009 Ford E-350 12 Passenger Model
The majority of problems that you will have when towing a trailer with your 2009 Ford E-350 will be related to vehicle sag; reduced braking power, decreased stability, improper headlight aim etc. These issues can then be amplified based on how heavy the trailer is or how worn the vehicle's suspension is. In order to combat these, a set of suspension enhancements will be needed. I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-107-47 for infrequent or part # SSR-107-54 for...

  • Radiator Adapter Fittings for Installing a Transmission Cooler on a 1996 Ford F-250/350
For your 1996 Ford truck there are threaded fittings in the radiator which are input and out put from/to the transmission cooler. The fittings allow you to replace the existing fittings with ones that have flared ends for the hose in a supplemental cooler so you do not have to cut and flare lines. Use kit # D13014 if the radiator uses 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch threaded fittings, or use kit # D13024 for 1/2-20 inverted flare fittings. You do not need both kits unless you are not sure of what...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2003 Ford F-150 with 5.4 liter V8
Yes we have transmission coolers that will work great installed on your 2003 Ford F-150 with a 5.4 liter V8 engine like the larger and very efficient Derale # D13504 that requires the adapters # D13024 and # D13025.

  • Installation of Transmission Cooler in 2010 Ford F-150
The Derale Transmission Cooler # D13612 will install after the radiator of your 2010 Ford F-150. You'll need to find the return line which will be the cooler of the transmission lines when the engine is warmed up. If you have 5/8 inches-18 transmission line fittings you would use the Transmission Cooler Fitting, # D13025. If you have the 1/2 inches-20 transmission line fittings you would use Transmission Cooler Fitting, # D13024.

  • Radiator Adapter Fitting Needed for a 1997 Ford Expedition
Here at etrailer.com we have two different radiator adapter fittings for the 1997 Ford Expedition. The adapter that you need will depend on the size of the transmission line on your Expedition. For a vehicle with 1/2 inch-20 thread on the transmission line fitting, use kit # D13024 or for 5/8 inch-18 thread fitting, use kit # D13025.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendations for 2010 Ford F150 4.6L
I'd agree with the fact that you want the best cooling performance. Traveling through the mountains, especially when towing can be hard on your transmission. This is why we routinely recommend getting the largest cooler that will fit in the space available. The most efficient place to install a transmission cooler is between the grille and the radiator or A/C condenser. The Derale # D13504 measures 11 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 7/8 inches thick, so if you have that amount of space...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2007 Ford F150
The answer to your question is going to depend on how much free real estate you have on the front of the radiator right behind the truck's grille, which is the place where you'll want to install it. Unless you live where it gets and stays below 0°F for most of the winter, you really can't overcool a transmission, so you could go as big as the available space allows (more on that later). If you have 11 x 12 inches of space available, I'd recommend the # D13504 . You'll also need some transmission...

  • Recommended Parts for 2004 Ford E250 5.4 V8 Towing Trailer
You have the basics covered with the brake controller and tow mirrors but I would also recommend a transmission cooler like part # D13503 with the adapter part # D13024 and # D13014. This is going to do a great job prolonging the life of your transmission as heat is the number one killer of them and towing creates quite a bit of heat. Then to install the Redarc Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR you'd just need the install harness part # RED87FR and for tow mirrors the custom install set # CTM2500...

  • Transmission Cooler Options for a 1996 Ford F-250 with 7.3 Liter Diesel Engine
We currently have 6 transmission coolers that are recommended for your 1996 Ford F-250 with 7.3 liter diesel engine. I have included a link to them below. Even though the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit with Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V, # D13960, is not on that list, transmission coolers are not technically vehicle specific, so you could install it on your truck with the proper sized fittings. The D13960 comes with -6 AN x 3/8 inch hose barb adapter and one of the recommended...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler For 1995 Ford F250 With 7.3L Diesel Powerstroke Engine
The Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13614 is designed to work with your 1995 F-250 with the 7,3L diesel. Since you said you have a small cooler already I recommend running the fluid through the cooler you have and then through the # D13614, and then through the radiator. This would be the optimal way to cool your fluid. To make it much easier to install the hoses it is recommended to use part # D13024 if you have 1/2-inch-20 threads. If you have 1/4 or 3/8 inch NPT-trans-line fittings...

  • Automatic Transmission Cooler and Fittings for a 2006 Ford F-150
For transmission cooler fittings the 6 or 10AN you see listed on coolers such as # D52506 does not make a whole lot of difference because you would want to look at complete cooler kits rather than just a replacement core. The fittings included with the cooler are already a match for it and for the hose that comes with the kits. I recommend cooler kit # D13504. It comes with a large plate-fin cooler, the means to mount it, some hose, and hose clamps. In order to install the cooler without...

  • Will Supplemental Transmission Cooler Help 2001 Ford E350 Van
So let's start with benefit, and the answer is absolutely yes, your 2001 Ford E350 van will benefit from a supplemental transmission cooler. Reason is, you cannot overcool fluids, and because towing is a stressor, additional cooling keeps temperatures down and helps prolong the lifespan of your transmission whereas just the factory cooler won't have that effect. And while a stacked plate cooler is good, you will get just as much cooling prowess from a plate-and-fin cooler which agitates...

You can choose many of the different coolers for your 2017 Ford Expedition. The 8an and 6an fittings are for other models instead I recommend using the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV part # D13504 and the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford and Lincoln part # D13024. This will give you the components you need for a direct in line connection.

  • How to Determine Fit of Oil Cooler for 1998 Ford F-150
When it comes to transmission coolers they are not a vehicle-specific fit so any cooler, including the Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler # D52506, will fit depending on how much space you have in your 1998 Ford F-150; this one is 13" Wide x 9-3/16" tall x 2" deep. If you take a look at the linked help article on transmission coolers you can see exactly how they fit. A stacked-plate cooler is a great, heavy-duty option but if the 2" depth is too much another option is...

  • Installing Supplemental Transmission Cooler on 1999 Ford E150 Van
The Derale # D13502 Transmission Cooler you referenced is a supplemental cooler that can certainly be used with a OEM transmission cooler. You'd want to tap the cooler into the return line from the factory cooler back to the transmission. In other words, the transmission fluid would leave the transmission, go through the factory cooler, then go through the supplemental cooler then return to the transmission. Unless you live where it gets and stays super-cold in the winter, it's usually...
