Very loose and wobbly in the track. I had to replace the locking pin with a nut and bolt to stop the shelf from shaking so bad. Would be a much better product if it didn't fold

Heavy duty shelf brackets just as described. Initially I thought they were a little expensive but the brackets are built with very sturdy components and will support a lot more weight than I will ever need. I put a shelf on them with the included screws and all set to go.

    Hi McCamer; what I would do is make a sketch of everything you're wanting to use the tracks for to see what would work best for you, horizontal or vertical tracks. If you want to use the # E19148 to attach the table bracket # 3481744 they will have to run horizontally. Instead of E Track, I recommend using the X Track # 3481788 which will allow you to choose how you want to mount the tracks since they work in both orientations.     Hey Mark, welcome back! I don't see why you wouldn't be able to turn the CargoSmart Folding Workbench Brackets # 3481744 into a bed. You will have a little extra hanging off the end since the brackets are only 24" long. The weight capacity is 600 lbs so as long as the design of the bed holds up the brackets will be able to handle it.

    The legs for the CargoSmart Folding Workbench Brackets # 3481744 will sit 22-21/2" away from the wall when in the deployed position, and then the brackets are 2-1/2" tall so they will stick out that far from the wall. My contact at CargoSmart confirmed this for me.

    The CargoSmart Folding Workbench # 3481744 will sit approximately 3-3/4 to 4" out from the CargoSmart X-track mount # 3481770. The braces on the CargoSmart Folding Workbench are 2-1/2" tall and the bracket that mounts in the X track is sits approximately 1-1/4" from the bracket; a lot of this will depend on how thick the board that you use on the work bench is. I've attached a photo to show some of the measurements that I took on this part out in our warehouse.

    There is not a listed weight capacity for the CargoSmart Folding Track Brackets part # 3481744 because much of this comes from how you attach the tracks that these brackets fit in. That said, I don't think you will have any issues using this as a fold out bed for say a 250 lb person so long as the tracks are attached securely. If you need to further secure the tracks to bear more weight you can use backing plates, part # e96RR.

With the upright in the tallest position and the threaded insert pushed all the way in, I got a measurement of 40" from the ground to the top of the bracket for mounting your top. With the insert unthreaded as far as it could go while still having enough threads on the foot to not damage the threads it is 42-3/4" to the top of the bracket. I suggest using something such as the CargoSmart Horizontal or Vertical X-Track, # 3486500 that is 3" long for a single anchor point option. Or something such as the etrailer Horizontal E-Track, # e75VR that is 3' in length allowing you to raise and lower the bench height from being used to sit on to a work bench/table height.
