Video Transcript for Review of the 7-Way Connector 7' Loop

Today, were looking at part number 20027 from DrawTite. This is a seven-way connector, gives you a seven-foot extension. Here, you have a seven-way flat thing outside of the connector. You attach this to the seven-way on your bumper. Here is the male side, and you put that in your truck bed. You have it available when you want to plug in your gooseneck or fifth wheel. You use this when you cant reach the connector on the bumper from your truck bed.

With seven feet of cord, you should be able to reach pretty much anywhere into your truck bed. You have heavy-duty plastic connectors on both the male and female end, and this should last pretty well. There you have it for part number 20027 from DrawTite, the seven-way connector with the seven-foot cord. .

  • Recommended Extra Long Ball Mount For 2001 Ram 3500 With 11.5 Lance Camper
For your 2001 Ram 3500 Dually 4x4 with Lance 11.5 camper, I recommend the Brophy Ball Mount # BM20. This extra long ball mount will allow you to put the hitch ball center 13-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch receiver. This is rated for 10,000 lbs. I recommend the # 63845 for a 2 inch hitch ball or # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball. If you need more length than the extra long ball mount, you may consider the Curt Extender for 2" Receivers -18" Long #...

  • Will Reese Titan Hitch Extender Work with 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 with Factory 2-1/2 Inch Receiver
For your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 with factory 2-1/2 inch receiver, the Hitch Box Extension and Reducer for Titan 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 24" - 34" Long # RP45292 will work great for you without any weight distribution needed. You may want to add a wiring extension like the 7-Way Connector 7' Loop # 20027 which can be shortened for your application or the TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension for 36" SuperTruss Hitch Extender - 7-Way RV # TLW6036 which already fits. You may also want to...

  • Best Wiring Options for Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer
You have a few options when it comes to 5th wheel wiring for your truck. Most trucks come with factory 7-way trailer connectors at the bumper. If your truck has a factory 7-way, then I recommend installing a 5th wheel wiring harness like the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel Harness, # 41157. In-bed harnesses provide a quick and easy connection point in the bed, so you don't have to modify the existing trailer harness to make it longer or use an extension. This harness has a 90-degree plug,...

  • Hole Size on Reese Underbed 5th Wheel Install Kit Pucks and 5th Wheel Trailer Wiring 2010 Ford F-250
When installing the underbed 5th wheel installation kit # RP30073 the holes for the pucks need to be 2-1/2 inches as indicated in the instructions that I have linked for you. You will need a 2-1/2 inch hole saw to make the cuts. If your 2010 Ford F-250 came with a factory 7-Way trailer connector at the back, you can use gooseneck/fifth wheel wiring harness # 50-97-410, and it will just plug in line with the factory wiring. The wiring harness is 9 feet long so you can install it ahead or...

  • Extension For 7-way Plug On Trailer To Allow 7-Way Bumper Connection Use
The Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness 7-Pole item # C56000 allows you to use your bumper 7-way and also adds a second 7-way in your truck bed for convenience. This gives you two working 7-way connections. If you want to connect your 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer to your rear bumper connection, you can use the 7-Way Connector 7' Loop # 20027 for the non-permanent wire extension.

  • Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Big Horn With Flatbed
If your 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 came with a factory tow package that included a 7-Way at the back of the vehicle, you can use 5th wheel and gooseneck in-bed wiring harness, # 50-97-410. This harness plugs in line with the factory wiring harness under the truck and provides a 7-Way in the bed area. If the truck did not come with a factory tow package that included a trailer connector, you will have to hardwire one in starting with a 4-Way using # 119178KIT. A T-connector is not available. • Adding In-Bed Trailer Wiring in a 1994 Dodge Ram for a Camper
To add in-bed wiring for your truck bed camper I would need to know what type of connector the camper requires. A lot of campers have unique wiring connectors but I can tell you how to get some wiring in the bed and add a 7-Way blade style connector. You will start by installing a 4-Way (unless the truck already has one) at the back of the vehicle. Use # C55317 that you have referenced. Then you will need to install # ETBC7 which will provide a 7-Way and 4-Way at the back of the truck....

  • Will 7 Pole Trailer Connector Loop # 20027 Provide In Bed Trailer Connection on a 2002 Ford F-250
As long as your 2001 Ford F-250 has a working 7-Way RV connector at the rear bumper, the 7 Pole Trailer Connector Loop, # 20027, will work as an in bed connector when towing a fifth-wheel or gooseneck trailer. If your truck has the factory 7-Way connector, similar to the round one shown in the photo I attached, you can use the custom fit gooseneck wiring, # C56000, to install a 7-Way connector in the bed or your truck. This wiring harness will plug inline with the OEM connector at the...

  • 5th Wheel Installation Kit for RBW Lil Rocker and 1989 Chevy K2500 Pickup Truck
I agree with you 100 percent. Better safe than sorry especially considering the size and type of load being carried. For your 1989 Chevy K2500 you can use the Reese universal installation kit # RP30035 as long as the truck is not a Crew Cab model. The RBW Lil Rocker should fit the Reese rails. To be sure you can compare the measurements of the mounting feet on the hitch with the picture I have provided of the rails just to be on the safe side. For in-bed wiring it will depend on if the...

  • 7-Way Recommendation for Bed of 1995 Ford F-250 for Connecting to Camper 7-Way
If the 7-way at the rear of your truck has round connectors like in the picture that I attached you could use the # 41157 as an easy way to splice in a 7-way that you could then mount near the wheel well of your truck bed for the camper of your truck to use. If not, you could use the part # 20027 to plug into your current 7-way and then route it up to where you need it.

For the 2005 Toyota Tundra with factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, a custom fit 5th wheel/gooseneck truck bed wiring harness that plugs in line with the factory wiring is not available. but there are options. If your existing connector does not have the round connector plugged into the back, you will need to splice in a harness like the 7-Way Pre-Wired Connector, item # 20023, see video link. • Truck Bed 5th Wheel Trailer Wiring for a 1998 Chevy C/K Series Pick-up Truck
On your 1998 Chevy C/K Pick-up truck, the center of the 5th wheel trailer hitch jaw should be 1-1/2 inches forward of the center of the rear axle. If you measure from that point back to the trailer connector, that will be the measurement you need. If you determine that you need an extension, I recommend the 7-Way Connector, # 20027. You can plug one end into the 7-Way at the back of the vehicle, route the wire under the truck and up inside a side rail in the bed, and then mount the other...

  • Options for Adding a 7-Way Trailer Plug in the Bed of a 1995 Ford F-250HD for a Gooseneck Trailer
For your 1995 Ford F-250 HD, I recommend the 7-Way Connector 7 Foot Loop, # 20027. This harness plugs into your existing 7-Way. You can then route the cable how you want to the bed of the truck. I recommend drilling a hole in the side of the bed rail, routing the cable down through the bed rail to the bottom of the truck, and then mounting the end for your trailer in the bed where you drilled the hole. You can then route the other end under the truck and connect it to your existing 7-Way....

  • Recommended Wiring Harness for Towing 5th-Wheel Trailer Behind 2012 Ford F-250
I think you may be looking for something like the Draw-Tite 7-Way Connector 7 Ft Loop # 20027. This extension will allow you to run the harness under the tailgate like you mentioned in your question. However, I do not recommend doing this as running the wires under the tailgate will leave them exposed and possibly lead to them being damaged. I instead recommend using the Pollak 5th Wheel/Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole # PK11893-11932. This socket will plug into the OEM harness and...

  • Options to Have an In-Bed 7-Way on a Truck That is Using the ETBC7 for the Rear 7-Way
I do have a couple options for you, but the 7-way connector included in the # ETBC7 does not allow the wiring harness to be unplugged from the rear like the factory 7-way would. The easiest option would be to use the 7-Way Connector 7' Loop # 20027. This would plug into the 7-way at the rear and has a 7' lead that will allow you to run it up to your truck bed. The main draw back here is that you would not have access to both the in-bed 7-way and the rear 7-way at the same time. But that...

  • 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Wiring Harness for a 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty
Gooseneck/5th Wheel Trailer wiring harness # 40167 fits 2002 - 2004 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Dutys with factory 7-way connectors. It will not fit a 1997 Ford F-250 heavy duty. There are currently no in-line harnesses that will fit. But what you can use is # 20027 or # C56080. Either of these will plug into the existing 7-Way and the long cable allow you to put the 7-Way in the truck bed. These harness just do not plug in line at the backs of the 7-Way like the other harnesses.

  • Availability of an Adapter to Use the Titan Hitch Extender # RP45292 with a 2 Inch Hitch
I cannot recommend either of the situations that you mentioned for safety reasons. If you were to make a reducer for the Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2 inch Trailer Hitches, 24-34 inches, item # RP45292, it would lower the weight carrying capacity of the hitch and the extension and could cause an unsafe towing condition. A solid steel bar while it seems very sturdy would most likely have less weight carrying capacity than a square tube extension like the Titan extension. The best...

  • 7 Foot 7-Way Extension Recommendation
I believe the closest thing to what you want would be the 7-Way Connector Loop # 20027. This product is 7 feet long and would act as an extension for your 7-way connectors. Although it is longer than you said you needed you could loop up the excess and run a zip-tie around it to give you the right length.

  • Availability of 7-Way Extension for Trailer Towed By 2015 Toyota 4Runner
The most cost effective solution to the problem you're experiencing would be to use the Draw-Tite 7-way loop, part # 20027. There is a 24 inch option, part # TLW6021, but it costs twice as much. I'd use the longer 20027 and simply zip tie up the excess wire so it's out of the way. The relocated 7-way could be attached to the trailer hitch using a # C57202 no drill bracket along with a # PK12711U trailer connector bracket. Another option would involve installing a longer trailer connector...

  • Where Does 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Wiring Connect on a 2012 Ford F-250
First, in order to use a 5th wheel/gooseneck trailer wiring harness your 2012 Ford F-250 would need to have a factory 7-Way trailer connector. Under the truck at the back of the factory 7-Way there will be a plug that plugs into the socket. The two connectors on # C56070 plug in line with that plug. If your truck did not come with any sort of trailer connector you will have to add some first before you can use a 5th wheel/gooseneck harness. First you would install wiring harness # 18252....
