Wiring a trailer can be a headache when you have to cut and splice wires, but this Curt T-Connector skips all that. The harness plugs in line with the tail light connectors, so there’s no need to tap into any circuits. Just plug it in and it’s ready for a 4-flat connection that handles running, turn, and brake lights.
The integrated converter keeps your trailer lights working right by matching the vehicle’s wiring signals to standard trailer wiring. It’s rated for up to 2.1 amps per side for stop and turn lights and 4 amps total for running lights, giving solid power without overloading the system.
Even if your vehicle didn’t come with a tow package, this harness makes it easy to add trailer lighting. It’s designed to work independently of factory tow wiring, giving you everything needed for standard trailer light functions without extra adapters or complicated rewiring.
Good grounding is key for dependable signal lights, and this harness is built with that in mind. The ground strap connects to bare metal for a clean contact, preventing flickering or intermittent light problems that can happen with weak grounds or corroded connections.

You have to open some space to do the job neatly, but it isnt hard as long as you move slowly and dont force anything. I store the connection in the left side of the floor box, and lay it out under the hatch to the tow hitch when I need it. The weather strip is flexible enough to seal around it with the hatch closed. Look the job over first and only open up what you must. Its scarier than it really is. Good luck, make it fun

The harness does not seem to be functioning correctly. I am having a problem with one of the tail lights on the trailer it will not light. I checked the ground and used the tester at the harness plug to be sure it was not the trailer and it is definitely the wiring on the car and it is the harness since there is no issue with the tail light on the car.
