Get the safest and most comfortable ride while hauling your camper with tie-downs that mount on the frame of your pickup. With the arms removed, the brackets are barely noticeable. Made of stainless steel and lightweight, rustproof aluminum.
Features:
Heavy-duty strength in a lightweight package: the TorkLift Talon tie-downs are the premium choice for heavy truck campers and unforgiving climates. Made of military-grade aluminum alloy, the removable arms are rustproof and robust while also being lightweight and easy to handle. The receiver brackets are constructed of rugged stainless steel, and both components are protected by a high-impact powder coat finish that guards against wear and tear.
If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity is going to sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush to the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not using them and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these TorkLift Talon Custom Camper Tie-downs, These tie-downs are going to mount at the front of your truck bed camper, it's gonna provide the attachment points for your truck camper's turn buckles, so that you can have a nice secure connection and to hold your camper in place. These are just gonna be the front tie-downs, you will also need the rear tie-downs to ensure that all four corners of your camper are being held in place. Those rear tie-downs are sold separately, but you can find them here at etrailer.com. These tie-downs are going to have this custom bracket here for both sides of your truck. This is a custom fit for your 2015 through 2020 Ford F-150 with the 5 1/2 foot bed, either with the factory installed hitch or with no hitch at all, and with the fixed board or step under the cab, but not extending to the bed, otherwise, everything isn't gonna fit properly.
So if you have that 2015 to 2020 Ford F-150, this is gonna be a great option for you. This is a frame-mounted bracket, so it's gonna fit right to your truck's frame, so you're not gonna lose any ground clearance, and being mounted onto the frame is gonna ensure excellent handling, so instead of having that attached to the bed, it's going to better distribute the weight, so it's not gonna be as top heavy, it's gonna be a lot more secure for you. They do include detailed instructions to help you get these installed, as well as all the hardware that you're gonna need to install them onto your trucks frame. The way they work, this portion is going to be installed onto the frame permanently, so you'll get this installed once, it'll stay there. When you're ready to put your camper in place, you'll just slide the tie-down insert in.
You can see, we do have two different holes here, so depending on the width of your camper, if you need a little bit wider, you can use this first hole, or if it's a little more narrow, you can use that second hole, and then we'll just line up those holes, and then use the included pins, pass that through, and that will secure our tie-downs in place. Now, our tie-downs are a aluminum alloy, so they are gonna be very corrosion resistant, will hold up really well. Our receiver brackets are a nice stainless steel, so they are gonna be extremely durable, and the really nice thing about this system is that when you're not using your camper, it's not harbored in your bed, you can just remove this tie-down insert, you can store it in your camper or under your seat in your truck. It's really easy to remove and get stored away, and then you can put this cap on the bracket here. And because this is mounted onto the frame, it's gonna be underneath your truck, you're really not gonna see this, it's not gonna take away from the look of your F-150, so you're not gonna have to worry about an eyesore like some of your other truck camper brackets that are permanently installed and kind of take away from the look a little bit.
These are gonna be virtually undetectable, they're gonna blend right in and not take away from that factory look when you're not using them. But then when you do want to use them, very easy to just slide right in place, you have that nice steady connection to your truck's frame. These are made here in the USA, so you can trust they're made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. They also come with a lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any problems with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. We're always happy to work with our customers, make sure you're getting good quality products, and having a good experience.
So in my mind, this is gonna be kinda your premium option, being able to remove those, get that factory look on your truck again, being attached to your truck's frame, that extra stability that it's gonna provide. This is gonna be the way to go if you're looking for that best case scenario for attaching your truck camper to your truck. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
