Hooking up trailer lights doesn’t have to mean cutting into factory wires. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness plugs inline with the taillight assemblies, so it connects right where you need it without any wire splicing. Once the connectors are in place, you’ve got a solid 4-pole flat trailer connector ready to use.
Many newer vehicles have delicate wiring that can’t handle extra current draw. This harness has a circuit-protected powered tail light converter (Modulite) that draws power directly from the battery through a separate fused wire. The converter only uses about 3 milliamps from the vehicle’s circuitry to switch the trailer lights, keeping your vehicle electronics safe while delivering full power to the trailer lighting.
A dependable ground is key for consistent trailer lighting. The main white ground wire is designed to attach securely to clean, bare metal for metal-to-metal contact, preventing weak grounds that cause flickering or dim lights. The connectors fit tight behind the tail lights, and proper pin alignment ensures all contacts seat fully for reliable operation trip after trip.
When you’re not towing, the 4-way connector stores easily inside the trunk area. When it’s time to tow, just pull out enough cable to reach the trailer plug and close the trunk on the wire without damage. For those who prefer an outside mount, you can route it through an existing grommet and pair it with a mounting bracket for a clean setup at the bumper.

After 1 year, the product is still performing perfectly. I have only used this less than a dozen times, but each time it performs as it should. No issues.

How did you get to the connector located behind the factory Stereo amplifier located on the passenger side rear?I can feel the connectorplug, but cannot disconnect or connect the trailer wiring harness.

We sell 14 inch wire loom by the foot as part # 7509-1 or in 10 foot increments as part # 7509-10. The wire loom is split down the side so it could be installed once the wire is in place, and would provide great protection for the 12-volt feed ran from the converter box to the vehicle battery.
