With a 3,500-lb maximum gross trailer weight and a 350-lb tongue weight, this Curt Class III 2" hitch is built for bikes, small trailers, and cargo carriers. Use it with a weight distribution system and the ratings bump up to 4,000 lbs GTW and 400 lbs TW. The fully welded steel construction gives you solid strength for light to moderate towing and hauling without needing a heavy-duty setup.
You don’t need a lift or a welder to get this hitch mounted. The custom-fit design bolts right onto the frame using the included hardware kit and installation instructions. Everything lines up with factory holes for an easy driveway install that doesn’t require fascia trimming or special tools. It’s designed to make DIY setup simple and frustration-free.
The gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat for added corrosion resistance. This two-layer finish holds up against road grime and weather while keeping the hitch looking clean. The round-tube design gives it a smooth, finished look under the bumper instead of a bulky industrial one.
The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with common towing and carrying accessories like ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo trays. You can easily swap out gear depending on what the day calls for—whether that’s taking bikes to the trail or adding extra storage space for a weekend trip. Ball mount, pin, and clip are sold separately so you can choose exactly what fits your setup best.

No problems with the hitch after one year. This hitch is real quality. It was so easy to install, I let my wife help hold it up while I put the bolts in.

JImmy, do you have any problems with the installation?I read up here that the bolts didnt match and that you need to remove the exhaust in Saturn Vue. I am wondering if that is the case with the Chevy Capriva. Thanks in advance

The hitch is holding up very well, with just a bit of surface rust inside the receiver, to be expected for sure.

It is common for there to be some play between the ball mount and trailer hitch receiver because of manufacturing variances. There are a number of products that help remove the play between the receiver and the shank. If your ball mount has a hollow shank, the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232 is a great option, and it doubles as a security device. If the ball mount shank is solid, the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 is a great option.
