Quickly and easily install a 7-way trailer connector on your Acura MDX with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system.

Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's junction box, which is located in your rear cargo area, behind the driver's-side trim panel in the spare tire compartment. You will need to remove the cargo nets, floor hatch, and some interior paneling to access this box. Once you've plugged in the connector, insert the included fuses into your junction box as indicated in the instructions.
Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 7-way connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

This worked perfect in our 2020 Acura MDX. Great directions and easy to set up. I also appreciated the great service and support from etrailer.
Almost plug and play. Go to YouTube, watch a couple videos and take your time. The ship time and packaging were great. If I needed another, I’d go with etrailer again.

Still working g great! I have towed several rental trailers and the lights plug-in perfectly. I’m glad I purchased this and would buy it again.

Directions were great and installation good until wiring into female plug....first six wires were easy, seventh wire would not go in regardless of who tried. Ended up purchasing another plug and slicing into harness to make it work.
Installation was easy with the included instructions. The only problem was the pre drilled holes to attach the cover did not align with the factory hitch. I had to use 4 zip ties to attach the harness to the hitch
Had it professionally installed and it works perfectly as it was designed to work. I use it for my fancy bike rack by Saris that has an electric lift which I use for our 60 pound bikes. Also has all the usual trailer lights. turn signals, back up lights, etc. which help a lot because the bike rack blocks most of the car lights.
I have a 2016 Acura MDX. The wiring at the connector doesn’t match the signals coming out of my car, so this is completely non functional. I discovered this after testing the harness a month after installing. It otherwise fits fine and seems to be designed for my car. Instructions were good wasn’t too difficult to install.
Excellent service and quick delivery. A non-product negative was the subsequent inability of an online customer service rep to clarify the color coding of the wiring harness wires (which color goes with which function). Two descriptions on the e-Trailer website page contains contradictions of some of the colors applicable to a travel trailer/camper.

Hey Peter. I'm sorry to hear you had that experience when you called in. I did double check the instructions for the harness and there is a diagram that goes over which color wire is for what function an where to wire it into the 7-way for the vehicle. I've gone ahead and linked the help article we have that goes over a typical trailer wiring diagram. Looking at both the diagram for the harness and the one in the article, you can see that the color codes don't match up. You would want to follow what the instructions for the harness say so that the pins will match up for the right function. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm happy to help!

I am now attempting to successfully install a T-One wiring harness to my 2017 Acura MDX, for the 3rd time. Upon following the instructions included in the kit, the first harness fried the "black box" in the harness, leaving me with only the 12-volt line operational at the trailer connection. etrailer provided me with another harness at no cost. The second time, I drafted my son, an electrical engineer, to assist to make sure we got it right.
We got the same result--only the 12-volt line was hot at the end of the install. The "black box" was again fried. And then we discovered the issue. THE INSTRUCTIONS!
The problem is step #2 where it says to "Plug in the white "T-One" t-connector end into the mating connection in the electric box." DO NOT DO THAT! Tekonsha tapes all the exposed wiring ends together so that you can snake the harness through the SUV and get them to the hitch receiver. That's fine--what's NOT fine is that the exposed 12 volt line in that harness is now hot, makes contact with all the other exposed wiring at the taped end of the harness and--POP!--the current back-feeds into the black box and toasts the whole harness. The fuses don't prevent this from happening, as the jolt is coming from the trailer end of the harness, and not the vehicle end.
It is apparent that those who wrote the instructions didn't confer with the assembly line to see that the assembly line wraps all the exposed wires into one unit. If you follow the instructions, you fry your harness. Plugging in the white connector to the rear fuse box should be the 11th step in the instructions, NOT the 2nd.
Tekonsha--do better!
Super fast shipping service and excellent customer service via email. Photos to be added after install.

Great
I’ve used etrailer for all of my hitch and trailer needs for years now and I think they’re terrific. Any questions are always answered accurately by their professional staff, and the customer service has been outstanding! I recently had a shipping issue that was quickly handled and resolved in almost no time at all.
Thank you to Teresa J for taking such good care of me!
Trailer hitch and wire harness works and fit great. The bracket that is supposed to hold the plug is not even close to lining up with the holes on the plug.
Easy to sort through the products by using the date and the model #
Products arrived on time, they were a perfect match to my Acura MDX , the video helped in instation - overall a good experience
As near to plug and play as you can get. The biggest issue is threading the cable through the vehicle to get it to the hitch. Two pairs of hands would make this process much easier. All connections were correct. Instructions are very clear.
Easy install, well setup and good instructions. Works as it should
The package arrived earlier than I thought. Well, packaged, with no damage to anything. Easy to install, just as advertised!! This was my first purchase from e-trailer and it was great!! So happy!
Great product, great and easy to follow instructions and of course, great price!
Great company, friendly service, great easy website information
