The open design of Stage 2 systems allows more air into the engine compartment, thereby boosting horsepower and torque. An increase in airflow also leads to a deep, throaty sound. Stainless steel installation hardware is included.
A. Made from 16-gauge, powder coated steel, the heat shield is durable and easy to install. Its single-piece construction eliminates the need for cutting or drilling; it simply replaces the entire stock air box.
B. The three-angle adapter ring, located on the inside of the heat shield, bridges the connection between the air filter and the intake tube. Its conical shape helps to increase airflow velocity before air enters the intake tube.
C. The heat-insulating, molded plastic intake tube replaces the stock intake tube by screwing into the back of the heat shield, and its improved design decreases back pressure. OEM intake tubes contain pleats and breaks, which increase turbulence. Because aFe intake tubes are seamless and made from one piece, air flows through without generating any turbulence, thereby boosting horsepower and torque. All aFe intake tubes have raised stops that help to form strong connections and prevent slippage.
D. This intake system contains an aFe Pro Dry S air filter for a great balance of protection, performance and convenience. Designed for everyday gas and diesel vehicles, it performs well in paved-road and semi-dusty driving conditions. Composed of 100-percent polyurethane, it withstands high engine temperatures. Two layers of randomly porous, synthetic fabric lie between two layers of progressively finer, medical-grade cotton gauze to block 99.2 percent of dirt and grime from clogging your engine. All four layers are dry and oil free, making it easy to service the filter. These materials yield a high-performance airflow and extended service interval. All aFe air filters are washable and reusable; cleaning is recommended once every 25,000 to 30,000 miles.

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our aFe Direct Fit Cold Air Intake System with the Pro Dry S Filter Stage 2. Now folks, this is a custom fit application. It's gonna fit 99 through 04 Toyota Tacoma, the 2.4 liter I4 and 2.7 liter I4 engines. Make sure you're double checking that please here at etrailer.com.
On our homepage, top center where it says My Vehicle Information, enter things such as year, make, and model, engine size, bed length, cab style. Anything else that asks you to ensure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now this Stage 2 open design is gonna optimize the airflow, which is gonna in turn increase your horsepower and torque. And it's also gonna provide a higher performance gain than the Stage 2 SI and Stage 1 Intake Systems. It does include a very nice 16 gauge powder coated steel heat shield here that will replace the stock airbox in the vehicle.
Now because it's a single piece construction, it is gonna make installation super easy. There's a better view of that. You can see it's got the thread holes already tapped in place for you for an easy install. You got the little S tube here, also black powder coated. Now this is gonna be great for paved roads, semi-dusty driving conditions.
The filter here is gonna give you a 99.2% filtration efficiency. And it's made possible by the four oil-free dry synthetic layers that are built into this guy. And as you can see, it's got the hose clamp around it. I went ahead and left that hose clamp on. You've also got all the rubber connectors here.
This one's tapered. And I'm just sitting that under here to kind of help hold this level. And you got this little 45 degree angle. You've got this little protective layer here that will actually go on the top, I believe, for the instructions, and it'll kind of push down in here and mold right into place on top there. Then you got some other hose there for venting and whatnot as well. So you've got all the hardware there. You've got, again, this guy. Another little vent tube. Different connectors here. And you've got all the hose, clamps, and hardware that are needed for install. The filters are the oil-free material, so it's easy maintenance. You simply wash and reuse it. And they recommend cleaning it every 25 to 30,000 miles. Now the hardware here we we inchesre talking about, it's all stainless steel. Everything here is made in the US. It has a limited lifetime warranty per the manufacturer. And it has 49 state EPA certification on it. Now this does satisfy emissions everywhere except for California. So it's good for Canada, and all 49 states except for California. So folks, again, a nice quality product here by aFe. This is the Direct Fit Cold Air Intake System with the Pro Dry S Filter Stage 2. Great product and very simple installation, in 35 minutes I had the old housing removed and the afe in place. Took my truck for a test drive and now you can hear the turbo, it sounds great.

Love it! Installation was very easy, had the stock system off and the cold air on in about an hour. Defiantly added some horsepower and sound when you throttle down, and it has actually gave 1 extra mpg per mile! Wasn't expecting that! Defiantly would recommend it to anyone
