Your RV bathroom shade should give you privacy, not turn your window into a peep show for the neighbors. If your shade creeps up or sags, this 28 mm spring kit restores tension so your small shade moves smoothly and stays right where you put it.
It starts small: the shade creeps up an inch, then a foot, until you can't get it to stay down at all. Most often the spring has lost its tension but sometimes the autostop has cracked. This kit has both parts included, so you're covered either way. Replacing the insides of your shade will restore balance inside the roller, so the shade stays right where you set it.
Mini kits are made for the smallest shades in your RV, like narrow bathroom or entry window shades, that are commonly up to 18-20" wide, depending on your shade series. For either one, if you're really close to the max width, it won't hurt to go up to the next size. The only limit is the spring size and whether it fits inside your shade's roller tube. These shades may be light, but they need the right size spring to roll evenly. So before you order, check the spring inside your shade. If the internal diameter measures 28 mm, this is the right kit. If you have a standard tape measure, that will be about 1-1/8", or a little bigger than the size of a quarter. If it measures closer to 11/16" - about the size of a dime - you'll need one of the 17 mm spring kits instead.
Nothing stops a repair faster than missing hardware. This kit includes the spring, clips, screws, and endcaps, so you can fix the problem in one go and get your shade working like new. And all you need is 3 tools: a pair of pliers, a 1/8" Allen wrench, and a flat-head screwdriver.

It was the proper part to repair the non-retracting MCD shade on our Pleasure-Way. My only issue is with the design of the part. The spring on the failed part was still intact but had lost its attachment to the inner shaft. That attachment point should be more robust.
