Features to know about

Stable Camper Handling: Frame-Mounted Security

Hauling a camper for long trips demands a solid connection you can trust. These custom frame-mounted tie-downs create secure attachment points that lock your camper directly to the truck’s frame—the strongest part of your vehicle. This keeps your camper stable by distributing weight evenly and lowering the center of gravity so you don’t get that top-heavy sway in crosswinds or rough terrain. With everything locked tight to the frame, your truck handles predictably mile after mile.

Simple Bolt-On Setup: No Drilling Needed

Installation is straightforward thanks to the bolt-on design that uses pre-existing holes in the frame. There’s little to no drilling and no need for permanent modifications, so you keep your truck’s structure intact. The brackets mount tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance, giving you solid holding power without hanging low or snagging when you’re on uneven ground.

Clean Look When Unloaded: Removable Arms

When it’s time to take off the camper, these tie-downs practically disappear. The removable arms slide out from the receiver brackets, leaving only the low-profile mounts tucked under the truck. That means you maintain its clean appearance and avoid bulky hardware sticking out when not in use.

Durable Build: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

Made from black powder-coated steel, these tie-downs are built to resist corrosion and hold up through years of road grime and weather exposure. The heavy-duty construction gives you confidence whether you’re heading through rain, salt, or dust. Each pair comes with installation hardware so you can get them mounted and ready for turnbuckles (sold separately).

Forklift tie downs are manufactured to exact fit to existing manufactured frame rail holes. They lined up perfectly and after 6000 miles with camper on board have stayed secure. The only downside, (this is relative to when and ware you use you camper) they will corrode when driving through snow covered roads that have been treated with sand and/or salt. I use an oil based product to protect them corroding.
by:
Truck camper tiedowns fit perfectly! Installation was simple and the customer service was great as I had originally ordered the incorrect parts. They quickly identified the correct part, shipped it immediately and provided return shipping label in a very timely manner! I will use e-trailer for all my RV needs.
by:
Easy install, very effective way to keep the camper were it's supposed to be. Just bought a new truck and ordered another set for it. As long as I have a bed mounted camper I will be using this tie down system.
by:
On my 2017 Ram 2500 HD, were easier to install than the front ones because you don't have to put that bolt inside the frame. There is a standoff for a wire on each side that had to be removed, and will need to be secured with a cable tie or something (see attached picture). I had to remove my Trekstep from the driver's side, but I knew I would have to do that, so no big deal. Again, these are very sturdy, thus very heavy, and lighter aluminum tie downs might be considered to reduce weight.
by:
Great easy installation
by:
These frame mounts fit perfectly and were super simple to install. The YT videos were helpful to prep, but this really could not have been any more simple. The quality and engineering behind these is impressive. They are probably the beefiest components on the truck now.
by:
1 year update on rear camper tie down brackets.
Had been using quick attachment for Truck Camper tie downs to rear truck bumper each side this is a better option that added a little more stability during travel. Insulation went great, used ways to help me install them like clamps and other tools. Was a little bit hard to line up holes at first. The price seamed a little high, don't remember where it was made
by:
Seem like a solid well built product. A bit of a pain to install and the instructions could have been more clear and the manual put together better but overall satisfied.
by:
The drivers rear didn't get built correctly. the hole to put the tie done is missing. I had to drill a hole into the tie down so I could use it. Didn't notice the problem until I went to put the camper on my pickup. The other three are fine.
by:
The rear mount arrived this morning, and I immediately went to installation,,,the only thing that could have made things easier would be, if I had a more powerful air wrench to take the bolts out,,,lol.

Looks great! The quality of your product is impressive! And, to think the dealer wanted to charge me $200 to put them on.

I see these as a permanent attachments to my truck,

They work great!!!
by:
TorkLift frame mounted tie downs, Torklift Fast Gun tie downs - AWESOME! Arrived Thursday as promised, picked the new Cirrus camper this morning. Installed the frame mounted tie downs - front and back - 1hour 45 minutes. Thank you etrailer!
by:
They installed easily and are working well. The packaging from the manufacturer is only a thin sheet of brown paper and allowed the paint to be damaged during handling. Then 1 day after installation all of the stickers marking "front" and "rear" peeled off. Unacceptable at this price point.
by:
Extremely overpriced but worked as they should.
by:
These camper tie downs have been fantastic! They were easy to install and have made securing my camper a breeze. I really like how easy it is to pull the tie down portion of the brackets out when you aren't carrying the camper. In my opinion this is the only way to secure a truck camper.

They were great. I ended up getting a different truck and bought another Torklift setup for the new truck. I couldn’t imagine using anything else for securing a truck camper.

by:
Easy to install and super secure! Made my Lance 1020 feel like its part of my truck. Highly recommended for the juggernaut class truck campers. I’ll never go back to the stake pocket style or bed mount tie downs again.

1 year later, Im still very pleased. Ive gotten many positive comments from people that didnt know they existed and, after talking to me, plan on upgrading themselves.

by:
These are very well made. They installed easily and fit perfectly. My only concern is that the tie down/turnbuckle attachment hole is slotted and looks potentially weak as a result. I don't know that it's weak, it just looks like making it without the slot would be a lot stronger.

After a year, these have worked out very well. The slotted holes I was concerned about have not been a problem.

by:
Great, quality solution! Provides much more stability over side to side roll vs bed-based tie down systems. Hardly know the camper is there!

Hi Joe, that is wonderful to hear! What kind of camper do you have?

by:
I put these on my 2008 Dodge 3500 and took a 8000 mile road trip from Pennsylvania to the great Rocky Mountains. Checked my Palomino truck camper regularly and it never moved or needed adjusment.

All the merchandise I bought from etrailer.com works great.

by:
It fits just beautiful and works great for my pickup camper.
by:
The tie-down receivers were simple to bolt on the frame of my pickup. The bolt holes lined up perfectly. Now when I slide in my pickup camper, I just need to pin each tie-down into its receiver, then hook the turnbuckle j-hooks up, tighten, and I'm done. It takes less than 5 min to mount and tighten both of them.
by:
Simple installation, approximately 1 hr. Good design and looks solid! Note: Needed to use an pneumatic impact wrench to take out the 6 factory installed bolts.

Wonderful.

by:
Fit really well. These tie downs are well made. One problem if you are worried about clearance the front are lower than the running boards and could cause problems in rough country . This is even when the extension are removed. That being said they hold a big camper very solid. I have carried a large camper with bed and bumper tie downs and there is no comparison to these frame mounts. I would strongly recommend a frame mount. Bob

I just bought the torklift camper tie downs ( TLD 2130 and TLD 3109) for my 2017 Ram 3500. Torklift camper tie downs are the best in the industry. They are so easy to install with no problems. I have used them on my 1999 Ford Superduty for years and they worked excellent. I would like to thank everybody at etrailer and Torklift for all the Tech Questions and Answers.

Thanks Again

Hey Hud! The # TLD2102 for the front are the same no matter what. However, the Rear TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs # TLD3109 are only compatible with the OEM hitch. TorkLift does not have rear tie-downs that work with an aftermarket hitch or their own hitch on your Ram 3500. Even though the Curt sits below the OEM hitch it uses the same mounting points as the tie-downs so they are not compatible. Hey Dwight, there were enough differences between a 2017 Ram 3500 and a 2021 Ram 3500 that the Torklift camper tie down fits are not the same. The part # TLD3109 would fit a 2017 model but I would need to know more info on your truck to pick out correct fits. I would need to know bed length, dually or single wheel axle, running board?, and if you have a trailer hitch (what kind).

This is the best setup you can get for your truck as it's the most secure and installs the easiest. Then for a set of turnbuckles the FastGun part # TLS9529-2-LK would be a really great option that is easy to use and very well made.

  • Recommended Frame-Mounted Camper Tie Downs for 2003 Dodge Ram 2500
I do have a set of TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs that are a confirmed fit for your 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup 4wd 6.5 foot bed with an aftermarket hitch and no steps or rails. You will want part # TLD2102 for the front, and part # TLD3109 for the rear. These inserts are custom designed for your Ram, and slide directly into your truck's frame-mounted brackets. The brackets fit tight to the truck frame with no loss of ground clearance. They are virtually undetectable when not in use.

  • Torque Lift Camper Tie Downs for 2017 Ram 3500
You'd be able to reuse the rear tied downs part # TLD3109 on your 2017 Ram 3500, but you'd have to go with the new part # TLD2124 for the front as what was on your old truck will not transfer.
