Can I Use D-Ring with Mounting Plate to Anchor a Truck Bed Camper

Question:

Would this be adequate to use as a truck camper anchor point? I just built a 2000 truck camper and I need to attach 4 anchor points on the camper To ba able to then tie down the camper to the truck. They seem strong enough.

I can't advise you to use something like the # DR1S to anchor a truck bed camper in this case, but I do have a solution for you. While they may seem strong enough, they're not designed for this use and the stresses put on by a truck bed camper.

The best way to anchor a truck bed camper on your 2015 Ram 3500 is to use proper truck bed camper anchor points like the # TLD2130 and # TLD3109, which are designed to fit the 6-1/2 Foot Bed - Single Rear Wheels - without board or step underneath truck bed and with a factory installed hitch models of the Ram 3500.
