Features to know about
Secure Handling on Every Mile: Frame-Mounted Stability
These front tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame—the strongest part of the chassis—so the camper’s weight is spread evenly and its center of gravity stays low. That eliminates sway and top-heavy movement on rough roads or in strong winds. The solid frame connection means your camper stays put no matter how far or how long you drive.
Clean Look When Unloaded: Removable Arms
When the camper’s off, you can remove the tie-down arms from their brackets so your truck keeps a clean, factory look. The brackets sit nearly flush under the body, staying out of sight until you need them again. It’s a setup that works hard when you need it, and disappears when you don’t.
Quick Install Without Drilling: Custom Fit Mounts
These tie-downs bolt straight into pre-existing holes in the frame, so there’s little to no drilling required. Because they’re custom-fit, everything lines up tight for a solid mount with minimal loss of ground clearance. That means less time installing and more time ready to roll out with your camper.
Built to Endure: Black Powder Coated Steel
Made of heavy-duty black powder coated steel, these tie-downs stand up to corrosion, road grime, and the elements. The tough finish resists rust and keeps them looking solid even after countless trips through rain, snow, or salt.
Each tie-down arm gives you two pin holes so you can extend them just far enough to clear sidewalls and fenders. Two anchor holes on the attachment plate let you fine-tune your setup for the best hold and tension when using turnbuckles (sold separately). It’s an easy way to dial in a secure fit that keeps your camper locked down tight.

I just had a chance to put on quite a few miles in various conditions in these things perform flawlessly. I had some trouble with the installation as one of my frame bolts nut came loose so I had to drill another hole next to it and put a backer plant in the box but it turned out to work just fine doing that. 706160
The TorkLift tie downs were relatively easy to install. They look great. They are designed well. It will give us peace of mind having them on our truck with our new big camper. We have not gone out camping yet to try them out, but expect good performance from them. Thanks to etrailer for helping us get them. 1601416

Once again the direction were not helpful at all. Found a [online] video that helped the most. Passenger side install was a breeze... the drivers was not!!! It's on but due to the fuel tank and guard on my 05 Sierra 3500 being so close to the frame I was not able to reach the flange nuts with my torque wrench. Due to the lack of space between the nuts and the fuel tank I had to rely on tightening them with an open end wrench. (Not ideal) To make matters more interesting I had to place a block of wood behind the flange in order to get the flange to stay in position and get the tie down on to the flange nuts. IMO Forklift engineers should develop a front tie down that is better suited to 2001-2007 GMC 3500 trucks. And non engineers should create the directions!!! It's 2021 - creating an install videos for their products should be a given. 992621

These tie-down supports are sturdy. Istallation was a bit of a challenge and required holes to be drilled to bolt the upper and lower pieces together, because where they matched up there wasn't a hole. I'm not sure if this was missed or done intentionally to allow for proper alignment first. These were advertised as "no drilling required" but that was not the case. Luckly I am somewhat mechanically inclined. If not, I advise a professional does the install. 426563

I was a bit unsure about the stability of this style of attachment to the frame when I first purchased these. After installing, testing and a year of constant use, they are still strong.
No bends or soft spots in the design.

Thanks for the info, but I do need a little more. Is your Silverado a 1500, 2500 or 3500 and if 1500 or 2500 is it HD or LD? Also, I'd need your bed size and if the hitch is from the factory or is an aftermarket hitch. If you can get back to me with that info I'd be happy to find you the correct tie-downs. view full answer...

The manufacturers supplied data for the Draw-Tite # 41544 hitch does not show any information regarding its use with a camper tie down system. There are quite a few option on the fit guide when it comes to camper tie downs, more than likely it is working correctly. The fit guide narrows down the correct part using your year, make, model, bed length, step or no step under bed and hitch type, so it leads to a number of possibilities.

It is a smart idea to verify the right tie-downs because there are so many options, and we do have the correct ones for your 2009 Chevy Silverado 2500 Regular Cab with an 8 foot bed and factory hitch. Hello Kelby,
There was a lot of information missing from what your truck has so I'm just going to go with the most common and assume you have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 or 3500 Regular Cab with an 8 foot bed, factory hitch, and no steps underneath the truck bed. If all of that is true, the following tie-downs fit:
- Rear: TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs # TLC3209
- Front: TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs # TLC2204
If your truck is different please leave a comment below with the model, bed size,... view full answer...

The TorkLift option you mentioned are the highest-quality camper tie-downs so they are a great choice, and we do have front tie-downs that fit your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with an 8 foot bed. The correct front tie-downs will simply depend on if you have running boards on your truck or not.

The TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie Downs # TLC2204 and # TLC3206 that you referenced are designed to fit the 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 8 foot bed (without a board/step under the bed and without a trailer hitch). I cannot recommend doing this as this could negatively affect the integrity of the tie-downs and will... view full answer...

For your 2004 Chevy Silverado 3500 with an 8 foot bed, no steps, and a factory hitch you would want the Torklift Tie Down part # TLC2204 for the front and then part # TLC3206 for the rear.
For turnbuckles you would then want the Torklift Locking FastGun part # TLS9526-2-LK. This with the tie downs will do an excellent job securing the camper you have in the bed of your truck. view full answer...
