Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the replacement anchor tie downs for HappiJac campers. Now, this is going to be a direct replacement for the California-UR style attachment point. So that's typically going to fit on your smaller trucks like the Chevy S-10, the Canyon Colorado, Ford Ranger and the Toyota Tacoma as well as the Isuzu, Mazda, and Nissan trucks, the smaller varieties. And basically you really just want to make sure that you're not going to exceed the recommended weight limit for this. So you don't want to use this for any camper that's going to be over 2,500 pounds. If you did want to use it for any of those, you would want to bump up to an FT model for your anchor point.
So this is just going to be that replacement for the little lighter campers on smaller trucks. So this is going to go on your rear bumper of your truck. It should be mounted on a pretty level, flat surface on your bumper. Go into some good material. You want to make sure you're not installing this into plastic or anything like that because it is going to be a secure anchoring point for your camper. And then once our bolt is in place, our anchor point is just going to go and slide in that slot, and then we want to make sure that whenever we install the bolt that the flats are going horizontally. So I was kind of pointing to this piece before, but it's really this bolt that's going to be installed in your bumper.
This is what's going to stay there. This is what it's going to drill through your bumper. So we'll get our bolt, the washers, and lock washer and nut to get that installed to replace all those pieces. The bracket just slides over that and you get a quick, good attachment point for your turnbuckles. So it should get you back out on the road, enjoying your HappiJac tie downs and enjoying your vacation with your in-bed camper. If you need any other accessories for the HappiJac system and if you like the turnbuckles or the jacks, you can always turn to etrailer.com for any of those parts. And that's going to do it for our look at the replacement anchor tie downs for the HappiJac anchor tie downs.
