Use this heavy-duty ratchet strap to help secure your cargo. Each end of the logistics strap has an E Track fitting that connects to a Snap-Loc single-slot anchor or to any other E Track anchor point, and the sewn-in soft loop can be used as a tie-down for your bike or motorcycle handlebars. Or thread the E Track end through the loop to tighten your strap around cargo.
The E Track ends attach to an E Track anchor slot using a spring-loaded mechanism. Just pull back on the E Track attachment's lever, put the end into the slot, and then release the lever.
The ratchet cinches the strap down tightly around your load and locks the strap in place. The hardware is zinc plated to resist corrosion. Hook-and-loop ties (similar to Velcro) help to secure any extra strap length, so the excess strap doesn't flap in the wind as you travel down the road.
Note: Tie-downs must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL), which is one-third of your strap's break strength. The WLL is the amount of weight that the cargo straps and hardware can safely hold if you have to slam on the brakes.
Because the weight of an object triples under the stress of a sudden stop, you should always know the weight of your freight and make sure that your cargo straps and hardware have the strength needed to hold your payload if you have to brake suddenly. The weight of the cargo being tied down must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, for a load that weighs 1,600 pounds and straps that have a WLL of 400 pounds each, you will need at least 4 straps. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
