Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Thule Replacement Locking Cover. This is going to replace one of the locking covers for your Thule Trail XT, your Canyon, or your Canyon XT cargo basket. Because this is a direct replacement from Thule, you can trust it is going to fit right in place of that original cover, you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. So if that original cover has become lost or damaged, this is gonna be exactly what you need. You can see it does not come with the plug, that is sold separately, you can find it here at etrailer using the part number that you see on the screen there, or of course, you can put your lock core in there if you wanna make sure that this is gonna be secure for you, no one can come along and tamper with your cargo basket.

The part fits perfect on my Thule roof basket brackets. Shipping was fast.
One problem, these do not come with the screw plugs to mount them. I dont see that info in the description either. A bit disappointed with that.
I just placed another order for those plugs so now I wait again.

Bought a Thule roof basket from the marketplace and it was missing the lock covers. Bought these replacements and they work great!
These lock covers do what they are designed to do. They cover up the thumbscrews so a would be thief could not easily remove your Thule cargo basket. These covers are just plastic, so imagine if someone really wanted to steal my basket, they could with a little bit of effort. These covers install with the supplied plugs or with Thule lock cores. Took me only a few minutes to install all four covers.
