Reese 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Glossy Black
My 9 year old and I were able to assemble and install this in about an hour. The anti rattle bolt recommended in the video, and the lights, were great additions and I definitely recommend them too. Handled a 900 mile round trip around the northeast and had plenty of room to bring Xmas presents home in the Curt waterproof cargo bag.
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Once it was together, I really liked it. It wasn’t that easy to put together and it required metric tools which I had to search for. It worked well and it was very useful.
Great little rack that does it's job. 4/5 due to two factors, one being its maximum 150lbs rating & two for being positioned DIRECTLY behind the stock exhaust on the 2017 Fiesta ST. We used this to driving across the country (Seattle, WA > Norfolk, VA) and it worked great, after wrapping our suitcase that was directly behind the exhaust in some heat resistant insulation. It did Melt the canvas tarp slightly but after the insulation, the suitcase was fine. Definitely was a lifesaver for space, with three adults, a chihuahua and 17lb cat being in the car for 45 hours, over the span of 5 days.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
I use this on my 2022 F250, when hauling my cab over. I was able to remove the folding part and attach it straight to my hitch to get it closer to the back of the truck. It’s light weight, decently sturdy, and easy to assemble.
This thing was not fun to put together. At all. But I got fair warning about it from the reviews. I suggest a 17mm socket bit and a drill. Plan on taking it apart a couple times so don't cinch it down tight at first. Once it is put together it's a solid unit. It'll be nice for our camping trips. The light bulky stuff that took up precious real estate can now ride outside.

20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
From start of project to finish, e-trailer was there for me all the way. They helped me figure out which would fit my very specific application, then shipped the product extremely quickly. Everything worked as it should and looks awesome.
Cargo carrier works as designed. Packaging was excellent and shipment/delivery was fast (3-4 days). Assembly instructions were clear, and one person can assemble it with 13mm and 19mm socket and open-end wrenches. Placing it in the square hitch the first time was a bit tricky: I had to get down on the floor to see when the latch pin holes aligned. Once it was installed, I marked the carrier bar with marking tape to make it easy to install the next time. I'm using the carrier for gas and diesel fuel cans for my tractors. The 2025 Honda CR-V rear hatch clears the carrier (a positive) but the backup warning system sees the carrier as a hazard and alarms continuously (a feature to deal with). I'm pleased with carrier and recommend it.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
I love this unit! I’m an avid Camper and Jeeper. My rig has big tires including the spare that requires additional clearance. In addition to hauling my gear, I had concerns about ground clearance off roading and stability. This unit exceeded my expectations on every point! I can even open the tailgate with the unit on and it still has enough clearance to fold up when not loaded. In addition to a great product, the order was confirmed and shipped same day and on my doorstep two days later. It was pretty easy to put together but having a second person to help and fit it on the first time is helpful. Great product!
Purchased this for my father-in-law to use with his Nissan Rogue, and now also my mother-in-law's Nissan Pathfinder. He uses this carrier all the time, especially since they don't own a truck, so any house projects or marketplace pickups that need the extra space, they break out this carrier to get the job done. Admittedly he probably overloads it at times, but it's held up to all the heavy use he's put it through over the years. He really likes the fact that it can fold too, because they'll take it out of town when seeing family for Christmas. On the drive up, they'll have it folded up to save space, and when they leave with way too many presents from Grandma, they can unfold the carrier, and load it up for the journey home!

20x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
It’s been one year since I bought this, but still no issue. Great product!
It was very hard to figure out what kind of cargo carrier would be the best for my needs, until I got on your website. Your videos are very informative to help with making the decision of which cargo carrier was best. It was very easy to put together, and very strong (I put my husband in it)this is perfect for our vacation transportation.

Curt 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Matte Black
Used it a hand full of times for camping with two different SUVs and its been great. Once over 2000 miles round trip. With the waterproof bag you can hold more gear since it goes above the side rails. Just be careful if your driveway slopes down you’ll lightly scrape the ground when backing out. And if you have a smaller suv or car make sure you center the heaviest items or it will feel it pulling back and forth on the freeway.
The carrier came quickly and installation was easy. I bought it to carry a generator for my 5th wheel and it did an excellent job. The problem is trying to get the $[XX] dollar rebate. I have decided the rebate isn’t worth it. After 2 1/2 hours filling out the form, talking to Curt at the number given on the form only to be told that Curt did not offer a $[XX] rebate and to contact etrailer. I called Amy at etrailer and was told to call Curt /Lippert . Curt customer service told me that it does not promote rebates, as they don't sell to the public and to contact etrailer, They did attach the link to the form, which could have been helpful had I not already filled it out. I filled out the online form again and was again informed the information I provided did not qualify. I then called, etrailer customer service and spoke to a very nice young man that spent a day following up on the problem. He told me that etrailer had no information of my claim. I believe the carrier is worth the price but the rebate was the deciding factor in purchasing the Curt over another brand.

19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
Works great for camping trips. Also, adapted carrier to hold a electric wheel chair which a foldable ramp (adapted) is used to get it up on the carrier.
The only one I could find for a 1 1/4" hitch. I upgraded the bolts to grade 5 and added spring loaded hooks. Love the way it connects to the hitch. Very solid. Pleased that this is available for this size hitch.

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
Don't recommend this product for anyone wanting to transport a bike over 250lbs. It's two separate pieces bolted together, and after setup I didn't feel confident in its ability to hold my Honda ct110 just by the look of it. The bike's wet weight is 203lbs, and when I mounted my bike to this unit it didn't feel sturdy at all. The photos I included show where the four bolts easily started to concave, I didn't feel like I was over tightening. So, beware of this if you do get this product. After I knew this wasn't the product for me I did try contacting their customer service to see what they could do, but didn't hear back from them at all. So without any hope for a resolution, this ended up being donated to the local goodwill. Hope this helps others think twice about purchasing.
Survived multiple trips with my Svartpilen. I have thick offroad tires that do not sit down in the channels well, but most won't have that issue.

Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ 2 Enclosed Cargo Carriers - 2" Hitches
Unfortunately we can’t open rear of 2018 expedition with the top box in place. One of the knob locking pins is/was broken in shipping. I also wish all of the items were keyed the same. This whole setup is 5 keys. I’ll probably call a locksmith and have them all re-keyed if possible.
Super easy to install. Took about 30 minutes to get it all done. Swapped out with 8 cores so keys are the same. Easy replacement. Well built. E-trailer also shipped ahead of the light kit which was not in stock after I called. Fast and free shipping. Excellent communication from E-trailer and Lauren A took care of my phone call and got the in stock items shipped right away. Will definitely be coming back for more equipment for my vehicles.

Nice size, solid. I looked at what it would look like on the front and on the back, and it’s stuck out too far in the front, fits perfect on the back. I had to use the universal brackets instead of the tapped brackets, and it’s still very solid. I got this from my sister on her farm, she is already pleased.
I recently purchased a basket from etrailer, with fast service and reliable shipping I got it on time, The quality of the basket very good and reliable. Thank you for such great service Robert

20x48 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
This is a sturdy carrier. Welds all seem good. Paint is just fine. Steel tubing is very strong. The weight is heavy but reasonable for one person to install and remove. I plan to remove it when not in use on our trip to avoid having to fold it up and lose ability to access the hatch on our van. It has a bit of play in both the receiver and on the folding hinge. I’m going to use construction shims taped in place to reduce the wiggle but even without those, it’s not bad. Even with a jumbo cooler, we can still see the plate. This will do the trick for vacation and camping gear without having to haul a massive 60” carrier. Love the size and build.
Love this unit! Install was simple. It's solid, heavy duty, and folds up out of the way.

22-1/2x49 Curt Cargo Carrier - 2" Hitches - Aluminum - 500 lbs
Works great! I needed a rack for transporting bales of hay to my animal sanctuary that was light enough for me, a very petite 60+ woman, to put on/take off by myself. It works perfectly. I did have to buy an extension (was about $10) due to the rear spare tire on my Jeep. Well worth the investment as I use it 2-3 times a week.
I am using this with my Polaris Ranger (requires a hitch extension) and my car. Has worked great, is manageable for this old lady because of its light weight.

GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Dark Gray
Excellent service with etrailer and expeditious shipping! Couldn’t be happier and thank you!!! The model cats are not for sale sadly ??
This is a great cargo carrier with a lot of room, not too happy with the price. We are using this to transport wheelchairs and walkers. We can carry two wheelchairs and a rollater plus rugs, chairs, etc. The top is a clam shell that opens and closes easily once the latches are released. A couple things could be better. The very long power cable that brings power to the license plate light and brake lights has lots of slack when the carrier is not extended, but no way to control it. I've been looking for a spring that I could use to retract the power cable, yet give it some slack when the carrier is pulled out. The other thing is the pair of "locks" that apparently lock the carrier. The locks are flimsy and are not much more than another set of fasteners and would keep out only the most casual thief. Also, the lock between the carrier and the vehicle is very hard to reach, for both locking and unlocking; fortunately, the lock part can be pushed onto the rod while locked. A cable would be easier to deal with but would rattle while driving.

32x48 Reese Steel Solo Cargo Carrier and Folding Ramp for 2" Hitches - 400 lbs
Had another rack that was cheaper but not wide enough for what i needed that seemed a lot better built, not impressed with build but do like the folding gate and the tie down holes in the sides, I wouldn’t go as low as a three star rating but I don’t really think it is worthy of a four star either
Very fast shipping, I like that.now about this rack, very well built and easy to put together.ramp is ok but not good enough for me,to steep, took to a welder shop and had another 2ft added, now it's 6ft long and folds up the same way,now it works great.this rack sits about 4ft from the truck so I'm putting lights on this and new stickers, the ones that are on suck, they fell off.now the receiver of the rack, can be turned to make the rack lower but to me it's to low and will drag in dips so I have it up high, its about 2ft now and can't drag that why I added to the ramp, make it work for you.now this rack does wobble some so buy a hitch stabilizer for 20 bucks that stops that problem. This is still better than dragging around a trailer and still I can park in a parking lot so it works for me

32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 400 lbs
The carrier worked great on the backof my wife's SUV. She carried an electric recumbant trike and it fit well. Had to let some air out of the two front wheels to fit inside the lip, but traveled well across the country. It is heavy, which of course is good and bad, and makes it difficult to place in receiver by yourself.
Purchased this to carry an e-trike on the front of my truck. It was the only one I could find that would accommodate the 30" width of the trikes rear wheels.
Does it Fit? Testing the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches on a 2023 Mazda CX-5
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the CURT hitch-mounted cargo carrier that fits into the inch and a quarter hitch receiver of the 2023 Mazda CX-5. If you're looking for a cargo carrying solution, maybe you're going for a trip and you wanna carry things not inside your car where it'll get messy, but outside where you might have an easier way of accessing it, plus if it's muddy, dirty, or sandy, it can all just fall out of the cargo carrier, then this might be a good option for you. With the inch and quarter hitch receiver, it is going to have a 300 pound distributed weight capacity. So that is something to keep in mind because that is gonna be different from the two inch hitch receiver capacity. Taking a look at this cargo carrier, it is made of steel, but it also has this black powder coat finish.
Breakdown of the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on your 2021 Mazda CX-5
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the etrailer hitch cargo carrier and how it fits on a 2021 Mazda CX5. With the CX5, we have a decent amount of storage in the back and we have the ability to fold the second row of seats down and get some more storage but you have those filled up with people and the back does get filled up pretty quickly. A hitch cargo carrier like this one is a great way to get some items from inside outside, especially if they're muddy or sandy or dirty. Anything that you don't want making a mess inside your vehicle this is a really solid way to get it outside. So let's check out a little bit more about how it works.

Does the Flint Hill Goods 22" x 49" Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Suit Your 2021 Mazda CX-5
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Aluminum Hitch Cargo Carrier from Flint Hill Goods and how it fits on our 2021 Mazda CX-5. With the CX-5, you have a decent amount of storage in the back, especially if you fold that second row down, but if you have it loaded up with people and the back is already full with some items or maybe you just need a little bit of storage for some items that might be a little bit messy like mulch, gravel, something that comes in a bag, maybe you're just making a quick run to the hardware store, this is a great solution to get it out on the back of your vehicle and let that mess just fall through, instead of storing in your car. So it's made of aluminum, it's super lightweight, but it's still able to support up to 500 pounds, which is pretty much the standard for your hitch cargo carriers of its size. If we want to, we could take a quick look at how it's constructed. So you'll see that there are these six slabs that go across, plenty of room for your items to store while still letting that mess fall through.
Is the 22x60 Flint Hill Goods Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches Compatible with the 2021 Mazda CX-5?

etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Mazda CX-5
Andy: Hello everyone, Andy here from etrailer.com and today we are going to take a look at the etrailer, aluminum cargo carrier, on our 2020 Mazda CX-5. So, with this basket style carrier, it is a great addition to our CX-5. It is an aluminum construction, which makes it very easy to lift on and off, as well as keeping that quality and nice finish, it's going to last for many years to come. One thing that I really like about it as well, is how it is on the lower side, so if you happen to have those heavier items that you don't really want to lift up, let's say you had a cargo box on top of your car, you have the option of putting them in the basket right here. So, if you happen to have some muddy items like camping gear, maybe something that is a little on the heavier side as well, that you don't want to move in and out like a cooler, this would be a great choice. Also, as you can see, it gives us plenty of room in order to access our hatch here, as we'll do so now. And we have plenty of clearance.
etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Mazda CX-5 e98872
Andy: Hello everyone, Andy here with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the etrailer steel folding cargo carrier on our 2020 Mazda CX-5. It has lower walls here on the side, so that makes it a lot easier since you don't have to lift them way up over onto the cargo carrier, it does accommodate up to 500 pounds. What I also like is it has the mounting points for you to use fork blocks when it comes to hauling or moving your bikes as well. One of the nice things is the fold up feature about this. What we're going to do is just unlatch the two latches on the front and the rear, and you can move this into.

We'll then slide through a standard pin and then we'll secure it using a clip. Now, with our carrier in this position we have about 10" worth of ground clearance here at the rear. Closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 3 1/4" away.
