Question:

I have a 2016 Mazda cx-5 and want to get a cargo hitch unit. The car has dual exhaust .Should I be concerned about the heat from the exhaust burning anything?

If you were to get a cargo carrier with a longer shank to add some space between the carrier and your exhaust that would help prevent heat damage. In general we don't see this issue really much at all as typically there is enough space between the carrier and the exhaust. If you need a hitch the part # e98902 would work great with a longer shank carrier like the # e98874 which has a shank that measures 9-1/2 inches from pin hole to nearest portion of carrier.
