Hi- I am looking for the best hitch cargo carrier for my 2016 Mazda CX-5. I have tried a cargo carrier in the past but the cargo hit the ground when going over bumps/divets due to my car being low clearance. Any products you can recommend to avoid this? Wanting it to carry a cooler and possibly firewood for camping.

I recommend the 20x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # e98874 for your 2016 Mazda CX-5. This carrier has an 2" rise to position the cargo carrier higher on your Mazda. This carrier only weighs 48lbs and can support up to 500lbs.
If you notice it is the receiver on your Mazda that is contacting the ground you will want to try the Roadmaster Rollaway Trailer Hitch Protector # RM-050 that will roll on the ground rather than digging into it with the receiver.
