Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient
Works fine and wasn't difficult to install. I didn't take the bumper cover off. Worked from top and below. Fashioned an aluminum brace.
Install on 2018 Honda Pilot went well apart from ATF hose ID issue. I found that 11/32 ID hose was too small for the Honda pilot. It needed 3/8 ID hose. So I had to purchase two more lengths of 3/8 ID hose locally to complete the install. Completed a week or so ago no issues to date.

Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV - Efficient
Well constructed. Could use more hose for the install. I had to buy another length to install it. In the photo you can see I fabricated brackets for it so it would be able to get better airflow. Not noticing a real big difference in cooling but I’m anxious to see how it goes when I tow my 29 ft. TT with my 17 Suburban with a 5.3 ltr. I’ve been towing without one with no issues but any help in extending the life of the tranny is worth it.
Keeps my Tundra’s transmission tamed, especially while towing.

Wanted to give my Honda better ability to handle a tow. this baby does the job. Transmission definitely cooler operation since the install. The install was simple and straight forward.
I purchased this for my C6 Corvette A6 transmission. I did, however, bypass the radiator and only use the transmission cooler for the C6. I purchased and used the Derale Radiator Adapter fitting 259-13035 for both the top and bottom and just capped them off to keep debris out of the reservoir. I also had to make some custom mounting brackets. This is an excellent product and it keeps the tranny in a great temperature range.

Have a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8 w/ 4 speed automatic which retails for no less than $ 4000.00 - Having this potential monkey on my back , I decided to invest in a trans cooler. Fabricated mounts and bolted on , used double flare connection to cooling line w/ barbed fitting ; barbed fitting @ radiator fitting. Used 2 hose clamps @ cooler, one clamp on each barbed fitting . Could only mount with fittings to left ,fluid leaves radiator , enters cooler @ top ( to reduce pump load ), comes out of bottom & returns to tranny. No trans temp. guage, but cooler gets hot @ idle, verifying cooler works . Well constructed and sturdy, easy to mount ; comes with instructions.
It’s been almost a year since I installed this transmission cooler. I would say it’s gone without a hitch, but THAT would be inaccurate. I also installed a hitch! I placed great confidence in this transmission cooler to do its job as my 2015 Honda Accord V6 served as my truck during our move this past year. Never a problem (ok, I’ll say it... It went without a hitch!). etrailer customer service was EXCELLENT! There was a question during installation that arose from my particular model of car having a Transmission Fluid Warmer that in effect made identification of the transmission outlet and inlet reversed according to the instructions. The technician actually read and considered what I was saying, instead of just assuming the instructions applied to my vehicle. Thanks to their input, I correctly reversed the directions and got the correct solution! BTW... I attached some pics of the correct hose routing for the 2015 Honda Accord V6. Note how you simply remove the short hose shown in the first pic, and connect the hoses from the transmission cooler! Note that I mounted the transmission cooler vertically so the hoses would reach. The last pic is showing the transmission fluid warmer (just as an FYI).

Great product, I’m currently in the middle of the installation.

Removing the front bumper/grill on my Odyssey was a must! Installation was pretty much straight forward once you confirm the feed, and return connection points. Mounting the actual cooler to the front radiator was the easiest part of the job. My Odyssey made two 650 mile trips pulling 2050 lbs with no problems so I’m very happy with the cooler!
good product form a great company ! my only complaint is this was listed as for my specific truck, but the "insta-dapt" supplied doesn't fit the Dodge truck of my year. even doing my research ahead of time, it seems to be hit or miss whether it would fit as some of them come with 5/16 fittings and some (like mine) come with 9/16 fittings. it doesnt matter the engine size, even other 3.7L dodge trucks of the same year have 5/16 fittings... I think Dodge made a change middle year, but never let the consumer know as mine is a late year '04. no dig deal as I was able to assemble it anyways and got it up and running great and both the radiator and trans are running much cooler now ! I attached the D12902 to the bumper as you will see in attached images. 2 attached images are just before finishing, bumper hasnt been attached yet, one of them is after everything was complete.

Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V
The fan is nice, the brass compression barbed fittings did not work. They leaked from both threads. I paid for fancy with a quickness 2 day shipping, took 5 days. I’m just glad I wasn’t too much in a hurry to cool my dads transmission for his road trip.
Everything was included to install the cooler and instruction sheet is useful. Hardest issue is where to mount. No leaks so far. Should help trans temps while towing.

Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class IV - Extra Efficient
My vehicle originally did not have a transmission cooler. After warming up, my transmission temperature would typically be 100 degrees higher than the ambient air temperature, whether moving or stopped. Towing the largest enclosed U-Haul trailer (6'x12') would raise the temperature to about 120 degrees above ambient. After adding this cooler, the transmission stays about 70 degrees higher than the ambient air temperature on the highway, and 80-85 degrees above ambient while parked or driving in slow traffic. I haven't towed that same U-Haul trailer since adding the cooler, but towing a much larger (8.5'x20') enclosed trailer raises the temperature to about 110 degrees above ambient. If you can find a spot the cooler will physically fit, it should work for your vehicle. You may have to get creative to solidly mount it. I used an angle grinder to remove part of a factory brace. When doing work in this area of your vehicle, be careful not to puncture the AC condenser! If you do, like I did, you will have to replace it. Some AutoZone locations will rent a vacuum pump and manifold gauge set. Doing your own repair means the total repair cost is only the sum of the new AC condenser and refrigerant. The inlet/outlet NPT fittings on this cooler need to be tighter than you think. I was worried about stripping the threads, and didn't tighten them enough at first. I ended up removing my bumper cover multiple times to tighten them until they stopped leaking. I found the best way to detect a leak was to zip-tie a folded paper towel below the fitting. If it turned red, there was a leak. For my application, I would have preferred built-in 3/8" hose barb inlets instead of the 1/2" NPT fittings.
Great quality! Simple installation, awesome product.

Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit - Class III - Economy
Great cooler upgrade for my 1997 GMC Yukon! Little delivery damage, but was so easy to bend those fins back to original shape so no worries! Nice that you had proper dimension measurements online, so it was easy to figure out what kind I can fit in my truck. Complete kit had everything I needed to get it done! Modified old cooler bracket little bit and that was it. Works great!
I just installed this on my chevy avalanche. Flipped the bottom brace around in order to mount to. The hardest part is getting the hoses on the cooler and over the return line. I ended up getting a 90 deg quick connection coming from the radiator instead of using the one I got from etrailer. This keeps the hose from bending as much. Also purchase the installation kit with a hose as you will need an extra hose. After install I wish I would have went with the next bigger unit which is 10 high instead of 7 1/2 as I had plenty of room.

Seems very solid installed easily works well!
Easy to install and has worked great on my '06 4Runner v6. A little extra piece of mind for the mountains. This size just barely fits on the passenger side of the radiator - there is a central, vertical support bar behind the grill that prevents a wider cooler from fitting.

Nice quality. Very effective. Installed on '08 Chrysler Town & Country van with 3.8L engine. Thought website difficult to decipher best product for my application. Had to buy [online] a pair of couplers for the 11/32nds ID hose supplied (used to splice into tranny line (cost about $6). Should have been supplied.
World class customer service. I will instal the part in the next few days but, super happy with the service and attention. Thanks

Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit Installation - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2018, Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Derale series 8,000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler. Jeeps are very versatile vehicles and can be used to get a little bit of everything done. While some people may just run around town and run their errands in them, others may use them to do a lot of towing. That's where the Transmission Cooler is going to come into play because doing all that towing is going to put some extra strain and work on your transmission and that's one thing you're always going to have in the back of your mind is you're towing your trailer down the road, knowing that your transmission could potentially overheat and leave you stranded on the shoulder. Now the way this is going to help cool, your transmission fluid is very simple. Warm fluid is going to come in through one side and that fluid is going to travel across, see small plates over to the other side.
