Best 2022 Volvo XC60 Hitch Adapters

The adapter slid right in to the factory hitch on our 2012 Volvo XC60. This is a big deal since we had to return a different brand of adapter because the corner radii did not match up and it would not go in. There's a little bit of play, but the locking/snugging kit we also got will take care of that. Great solution for my 1 1/4" tongue bike rack!

Based on an initial fit, the bike rack stinger is a bit loose in the reducer. If tightening the threaded pin does not reduce the wobble, I can add some shims since I intend to keep the reducer mounted on the bike rack. The reducer is an easy fit into the 2" receiver - the Quiet Hitch removed any movement.

I use the extender on my bike rack so I can access my tailgate and truck bed with the rack on. It does what it supposed to do and looks barely used although I travel to trails twice a week.

Good quality, heavy duty took a couple extra days to get here otherwise great product

I ordered this adapter from e-Trailer so I could extend my bike rack past my spare tire on my 2005 Honda CRV. This solved my problem and this thing is well made to take the weight. I'm glad I purchased from e-trailer because I know now that they sell quality products as I have also purchased a new receiver, ball mount and 2' ball to pull my trailer. Work great! I needed an extension due to my truck camper. It holds my heavy duty bike rack and 2 ebikes with no problems.

I was surprised by just how solid and heavy it was made. Just what I needed to move my Bobcat UTV hitch back to I can use it as my yard dog to shift my trailers around and not worry about the plastic tailgate nor the plastic bed getting damaged. The hitch sits under the bed and this extends it out so it is useable.

Product was delivered on-time as expected. This adapter is being used on a Volvo XC60 with a retractable receiver. Although it fit in the receiver the locking hitch pin did go all the way thru without a little brute force. Not sure if it is a receiver, adapter, or a hitch pin problem. Would have been nice to have a little more guidance.

I have a Volvo XC60 with the factory installed retractable 1.25" hitch. I needed a 1.25" to 2" adapter for the Thule XT Pro bike rack I purchased previously for a couple of e-bikes. Many adapters will not, however, fit the Volvo receiver correctly as there is only 1.6" available from the back of the receiver to the receiver hole. The adapters I had found at nearby stores, all required 2 inches. This hitch adapter from etrailer, only requires 1.5" and fits the Volvo receiver perfectly. It also seems to be very well made, very solid and I have not noticed any discernable shake with the adapter pinned to the receiver and the bike rake pinned to the adapter. etrailer also shipped extremely quickly - even faster than I expected with an expedited ship request.

The adapter seems to be of very good quality. Before looking at etrailer I'd been having a hard time finding adapters that had both the 5/8" hole (#3 pin) for attachment to my 2" trailer hitch, and a 1/2" diameter hole to attach the 1-1/4" bike rack. Some just had one size holes, others had terrible reviews. The fit is good, though there is some wiggle room. From all the reviews I've seen, ALL adapters have some movement, and the only solution is adding a locking collar, which I may do after I've tried it for a while (I just got it today). Bottom line, I'm happy with my purchase.

The Curt C45785 1.25 inch to 2 inch hitch adapter seems well-constructed, but does NOT fit the current SPA Volvo OEM 1.25 inch automatic retractable hitch receptacle (mine is on a 2020 V60 Cross country). The lock pin hole doesn't go back far enough to accommodate the pin -- see photo.

This is going to be great to be able to swing out bikes out of the way so we can get in the back of the jeep.

Exactly what I was looking for. Can swing the bikes out of the way to access the truck bed. Locks back into position and I am not worried about it being secure.

Swing away is built very well! Easy to use and price was good. Should have bought it along time ago.

I was looking for something like this for my 1 1/4 Reciever. My biggest concern was your 2 inch Adapter would hit the Car's rear Rubber Bumper....it cleared by 1/4 inch on my 2016 Ford Focus, so I'm happy. I think I purchased the Trailer Hitch from your company, and use it for a Bicycle Rack. With this Adapter, I can look into other Hitch Accessories.

Would have been nicer if a hitch pin was included.

Used the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver to have a bike rack with two bikes on the upper Receiver and a 21' bassboat on the lower Receiver. Ran down to Florida Everglades, Florida Keys and back home. Almost exactly 4,000 miles. Hitch worked perfectly. I did find that you can not "jacknife" the boat as much or the bow of the boat will touch the bikes on the rack but that is to be expected. Hitch was quiet, strong and exceeded my expectations. Easy to install and looking forward to using it again in a month for another 4,000 mile road trip. Note: I drive fast and the roads are not always perfect. This is a sturdy Hitch Receiver. Hope this review helps you. Sorry, crummy photo as the Receiver is a "set it and forget it" product. Be well.

I purchased this product from Etrailer instead of other online sources because I trust them having products that they stand behind. In looking at ratings from other sites made me question quality.

Product quality is fine, however, tried to use with an ebike rack on upper hitch and flat tow hitch on bottom. Vehicle sway at highway speeds was too much, and I found bike rack on back of the towed Jeep was better.

Works great. We're towing a jeep and have a bike rack behind our motor home.

Melissa saves the day!!! I needed a hitch extension to install my bicycle rack on my new 5th-wheel RV. I ordered several other different accessories for my new RV and after 2 weeks the Hitch Extension had not been shipped despite being in stock. I am very happy with this purchase. The swing out is well constructed and appears to be very durable. Other product reviewers comaplained their swing out would bend under pressure. I cannot envision this swing out every doing that. I like the FlatLock hitch feature that tightens the swing out to hitch connection.
