Ball mount kit arrived quickly (within a few days) upon placing order online. Parts were shipped loose in box and bottom flap on box was open when received. Fortunately, all the parts were still in box and in good condition. Kit includes ball mount hardware I need to pull trailers with different hitch heights.

I bought a trailer hitch for 2014 Subaru Forester. I installed the hitch and wiring harness myself in less than an hour. The product matched descriptions perfectly and thanks to the vehicle specific video installation tutorials these products are a breeze to install. Had a great year and attached two bike racks, one ski hitch, and one small trailer with ease also thanks to the accessory ball mount kit.

Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

Ball mount arrived with clean welds and smooth powder coat finish that matched the trailer hitch receiver. Mount fits snug in the receiver and provides excellent, printed weight limits to assure safe use. Will be used for utility trailer and possibly a small tent trailer suitable for the weight and pulling power for my Subaru Forester.

Quality products. The hitch and wiring harness installed easily because of the quality detailed installation videos you provided. I couldn't be happier. I saved $ 300 by doing the installation myself. I plan on using the hitch for a bicycle rack and to pull a motorcyle trailor. This hitch was installed on my 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i Limited. The website is fantastic and makes finding the correct products for your vehicle very easy. The hitch arrived in only a few days and came complete with all the necessary installation accessories. The hitch comes with fish wire for the frame bolts so you don't need to fuss with buying fish wire. Some reviews stated that you can go in from the inside of the vehicle but this is totally unnecessary and more work. Just follow the instructions, with exception of the muffler heat shield. You can drill 1/2" holes through the heat shield in the dimpled areas corresponding to where the instructions tell you to cut out the heat shield (see some of the other reviews for more detail on this). These holes allow you to securely fasten the heat shield over the hitch using the hitch bolts. Make sure you have a torque wrench and an 11/16" deep socket to tighten the frame bolts. I would also recommend removing the muffler which is very simple. Lube the muffler mounts with WD-40 to facilitate the removal of the muffler. You will save at least $300 installing this yourself.

The hitch works great and it was delivered FAST. I was very happy with the purchase. It was cake to install.

It looks tiny compared to other hitches, but is solid metal. The welds are fine and fits like it should. A necessary item for the trailer hitch.

I purchased a Curt class II hitch for my wifes subaru. I recieved it right away and the installation was a breeze. There was a simple little piece of two sided tape missing from the light wire kit. This trailer hitch was easy to install. I am eighty six years and a disabled Vet. I took my time and had it on in one and half hours. I also installed the heat deflector back on. I think this heat deflector should be reinstalled as the muffler creates a lot of heat. Saved a lot of money also as the dealer here wanted $500.00 for the hitch $60.00 for the wiring and half day to install. Thought he had a sucker but I didn't bite. Thanks much George J

I purchased this Curt Ball mount 10-1/4" because I also bought ball hitch mounted mud flaps and my existing hitch was too short.This hitch was maybe a little too long, but it should work.I hope this combination will protect my horse trailer from my nasty gravel roads!

With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.

This ball mount is stout! And it's powder coated! This guy will last longer than the vehicle, or maybe me.

Retail type stores only carry mainstream items so when I needed a special length ball mount for my 2011 Traverse I found the size and quality with Curt Products .
