Bought these chains for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock Edition. I am running Goodyear Duratrac 255/75r17's which are the stock tire size. I clamped on the chains when I got them just to make sure they are in working order, checked the tire to frame clearance and really all clearances and everything seems to clear fine. I will not be rock crawling or doing any extreme articulation with the chains on. Solid set of chains and I am looking forward to trying them out in Colorado this year when we go elk hunting.

My chains arrived yesterday. After unpacking them, I was impressed by the good looking and functional case they come in. I viewed the instruction video twice, and feel confident that my first real use will be easy. I am heading over the mountains of British Columbia this upcoming weekend, and have every expectation for our typical high-altitude winter conditions. I feel sure that my trusty F-450's slightly worn dually's drive tires will take almost anything in stride . . . (at 30 MPH ;-)

Correct fit as ordered for oversized SUV wheels & tires for 1991 Bronco. Appreciate the color coding for easy installation.

Seem to fit well, used on a defender 110 with 255/60/R20. Plenty of adjustment range.

Excellent chains on 2005 GMC Sierra. Cam Locks are good but you really need to use a tire bungee or equivalent to pull the chains tighter. I use wire ties for the extra length of chain on the inside and outside firewall. Turns the truck into a total snow beast, I have yet to get stuck and have never used the winch I bought for that purpose.

I ordered 2 sets (4 chains total) of these tire chains for my V10 F250, which I use to plow a private dirt driveway on the north side of a mountain in rural Pennsylvania. It's two miles (actual odometer reading) uphill to the paved road from my house. Most years, along about February, the road ices up (because no sun and midatlantic sleet issues) and plowing becomes quite challenging. I figured getting tire chains might help the traction-on-ice problem. I plow the road between 10 and 15 mph, with the truck in 4wd. Since buying the chains I have run the truck up and back the road approximately twenty times with the chains on, plowing from 4 to 8 inches of snow, conducting rollbacks of shoulder, chopping up slush, etc. I have also used the truck (with chains) to pull out two other stuck vehicles that had run into ditches. At this point I feel like I can review the product because I've used 'em enough to have an opinion. 1. These tire chains add a lot of traction on ice. A lot. Enough to plow with and enough to pull out stuck vehicles while the "tow" vehicle is sitting on ice. 2. The chains look fine and are undamaged at this juncture. Since I've used them consistently with how I expect them to be used and they are fine, I'm happy with quality at this point. 3. Maybe I will improve with practice, but it's about thirty minutes of twinking around to get these straightened out, on the truck, tightened up, bungee'd, etc. in a way that I feel OK about driving with them. (That's why 4 stars instead of 5.) Once they're on, they seem to stay put fairly effectively. I do not drive on paved roads with these chains nor do I drive faster than (max) 20 mph so I can't speak to how they might do under those circumstances. I use them for additional traction for my plow truck while plowing my iced-up dirt road... and for that, they work as advertised.

These tire chains for my 2017 GMC 2500 (20” wheels) perfectly. They did great in the snow and allowed me to pull an enclosed trailer to my cabin, which I couldn’t have done without these chains on my truck. Thanks etrailer for the fitment video specific to my truck! Very helpful

I bought the TC2228CAM tire chains because etrailer has a size chart which actually includes the tire size I bought for, but I was really happy and surprised to see how well they are constructed. I haven't installed them yet but feel confident they will work just fine. 2001 4runner Tire: 265/70r/16

I have only unpacked the chains and have not mounted them yet. But after inspecting the chains one of the cross chains is twisted as some others have reviewed the same problem. I bought these for a 04 Jeep Wrangler with 315/75R16's. With this I am skeptical of their quality. I will most likely attempt to cut out a link and straighten them myself as opposed to returning. Time will tell of their quality and/or durability.

I've used Titan cam style v bar chains in the past and am purchasing the again. That's probably enough said about the product. I received my order on the 2nd day. great response time. haven't open it yet, winter is a little ways off so i won't Know my satisfaction or dislike till that time comes I plan on this weekend to put both, the blind spot mirrors, and my boat mirror on. I live in Florida so I will know about the boat mirror soon. I bought a little Jeep wrangler for my son who lives in upstate NY (Adirondack mts.) . he owns a restaurant up there and when it snows they charge him a pretty penny to plow it.so I got to get the jeep up there, buy and install a plow for it and walla! thank you for your concern! i'll let you know how it all shakes out.

No snow yet but the practice installation went great! So simple my 6 year-old helped make sure I was following the instructions properly. Time will tell if I need them and how they work in the upcoming North Idaho snow plowing season. Fit great on my 275/70R18 tires. I appreciate the carrying case they came with, also!

the chains that Gwendolyn sent me fit perfectly. And, they arrived in time to take them on a 2,900mile trip. As it turned out, I didn't have to use them, as the weather let up, and got through the Rockies and the Cascades with no need for chains. Better to have them and not use them, than need them and not have them.

They keep me on the road as much as is reasonable to expect. They are grippier that other chains I’ve used, but also seem to be more finicky to tighten and tore up my mud guards with the v-bars. Using them on a 98 rav4, 2wd. I would probably get something different for my specific vehicle if I had to go back, but these really do grab the road when you need it!

Used them all last winter to access job sites well off the main roads. Chains are a must most days even with 4wd and with caution my 2wd work truck never got stuck.

1/15/2024 I couldn’t go up my property, so on 1/17 I ordered this chain with the TCMA2 Rubber chain hook. On 1/22 I tried it was a beautiful climb, and decent, my driveway has a 17 degree slope. I try again next day with a glance of ice, NO Problem! A year later, same success! Love to have the right tool.

2017 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins. These chains were easy to install and fit solidly. They do not have the cam system so you will need bungee cords. I set up 2 rubber bungees per tire and added a hook in the middle. Works perfect. They fit my 285/65/20s with room to spare. I have not used these in the field yet but I grew up using tires chains and these are no different.

I haven’t needed to use them, but I did do a test fit and they seem very well made. I really like the twist lock tightened as well.

Well made, however the rear wheel clearance at the front inner side is questionable. Very close, maybe get a finger between chain and plastic inner fender. But I bought them for emergency use if need when plowing my driveway, and if kept tight may not cause a problem. Will have to check constantly and keep loose ends tied fast to rest of chains. Clearance might not be a problem with lifted vehicles. Am using on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with oem tire size (but with Bridgestone Dueler AT ).

I am impressed with the Titan Snow Tire Chains I purchased recently. They appear to be well made and sturdy. They fit my tires and were easy to install. The V-Bar links allow me to drive into the woods with the confidence that I will be able to return home safely.

Seems to be heavy duty enough for me. I had lighter chains which cross links were unhooking but not breaking. Hope these will solve the problem.

Pewag PWE2228SC chains are nothing fancy. Good old traditional design. Came in a canvas bag with no closure. Successfully mounted them on P165/70R17 tires. Have not tested them in real-life snowy conditions. After chains are on, should drive vehicle 1/4 to 1/2 tire revolution, then tighten chain hooks further. Adding additional tension cords almost a must. Picture shows chain loosening at 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock positions after driving only a few feet. Consider adding threaded chain link to tie down extra free links to prevent them from flopping around when driving. Flopping chains are know to cut brake and ABS lines and cause other damage to the vehicle, especially if chains are installed on front tires. Thule XG12 Pro may be a better choice for front tires, because nothing flops around on the medial side of chains.

Purchased for 2016 Sprinter 4WD 140. Very pleased. Works well here in Pacific NW snow and ice. Heavy chain, but installs easy enough. Will need designated storage space. Great service and delivery.

I just installed the V-Bar Chains and tried them out on my icy driveway. Wow, the traction is amazing. I installed these on my 1990 Ingersoll hydrive 4014 lawn tractor.
