Today we'll be taking a look at part #C40032, this is the Curt 1-7/8" hitch ball. It's got a nice high-rise design to it, it's going to let you easily match the ball to your trailer height. The trailer hitch ball sits 2 extra inches above the ball mount platform. We've got the fine threads here on the shank, that's going to provide a nice, tight, strong grip that we're looking for, steel construction with a nickel-chrome finish to resist rust and corrosion. You're going to get your hitch ball, you're going to get lock-washer, and your nut for a full installation. When installing this, you'd place this through your draw-bar or through that ball hole, lock-washer goes on the underside followed by the nut and then you would need to get that tightened down according to the specifications listed by the manufacturer. The hitch ball diameter is going to measure 1 and 7/8 of an inch, it's going to have a capacity of 3500 pounds. That rise, right there, that's where you can see that two inch measurement.

The shank length from the bottom of the platform to the end of the threads is 2-1/8", it's going to give us a shank diameter of about one inch, and then the measurement that we have from the bottom of the platform to the top of the hitch ball that's going to give us a measurement of right at 4-3/8". That's going to do it for today's look at part #C40032.

This worked great for getting my motorcycle trailer to level out. Only issue was this ball has a 1" shank and my 1-1/4" receiver had a 3/4" hole. A 1" cutter bit did the trick.

The ball is used behind my motorcycle. My goldwing hitch sits lower than level on the trailer I have. This ball allows the trailer to sit level. It pulls smooth and is built very strong. I understand your need but we do not have any 1-7/8-inch couplers with height adjustment. Such items do exist for higher-capacity 2-5/16-inch couplers. To even out the height difference between your two tow vehicles you might use a high-rise hitch ball on the bike. I believe the correct ball mount for you to use would be the Brophy Ball Mount # BM20. Tips for Tightening Curt Hi Rise Hitch Ball
The totally round base of the Curt hi-rise ball like part # C40032 does make it challenging to torque the nut of. There really isn't a great solution but a large set of channel locks or vice grips could work if you were trying to do it with the ball mounted in a trailer hitch. Or if you have access to a vice on a work bench that would be the best to secure it.

The ball mount # D-55007 was meant for use with Curt trailer hitch # C11748V. I have included a link to the installation details for you. You could then add 1-7/8 inch ball # 19256 or 2 inch ball # 19258. On Class I and II trailer hitches you have to use the ball mount specified by the hitch manufacturer for warranty purposes. Does the Curt 2" Hitch Ball # C40033 with High-Rise come in a 1-7/8" Version
We do have 1-7/8" Curt hitch balls like the 2" part # C40033 that come with a high-rise. If you just need a 1" rise then you will want part # C40031, but if you need a 2" rise you will want part # C40032 instead. Both are rated for 3,500 lbs

Ball Mount to Clear Rear Bumper on 2013 Toyota Sienna and Provide Close to 7 Inch Rise
Based on your measurements getting exactly what you need is a little tricky but I have some possible options for you. I can get you close to the rise you need by using ball mount # D-28, which has a 4 inch rise, with hi rise ball # C40034 or # C40032, both of these balls offer another 2 inches of height for a total rise of 6 inches. The tongue weight of the trailer will pull it down a little so at most you would be off level by 1 inch.

You wouldn't want to use MaxxTow MT70070 anyway because it will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. The Curt multipurpose ball mount # D210 is going to be the best option. To overcome the 2-1/4 inch drop you can use a ball with a rise such as # C40034. This is a 2 inch ball rated for 6,000 pounds. You have the right mindset, you do want to have the height of your hitch ball so that it allows the trailer to be towed as level as possible. To do that check out the link I attached.
