Bought this product one year ago, and I absolutely love it! I bolted it to my pickup box. It is in brand new condition after a year in our harsh coastal weather. It is a breeze to operate. Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Have used the block head bike mounts by Yakima on trips of 800 to 1500 miles with no incident. Easy to mount the bikes and they have not released even on bumpy roads. Great product for my truck box and bikes are always in view.

The Yakima racks are still performing great. I did stiffen up the truck box with a 3/4 aluminum angle on the interior to prevent metal fatigue of the box lid flexing a little. Preventive precaution: The bikes ride with security, safely, and with a quick glance in the rear view, I have complete viewing for my RV. 3000+ miles so far on bikes and racks.

Ford F-150

SOLID construction ... this thing is a beautiful little block of metal with a robust skewer and clamp. I’ll be using mine mounted to a 2x6 running across the front of my F150 bed floor. Very nicely made. 1” lag bolts fit well under the curved shape.

The Yakima Locking BlockHead Single Bike Truck Bed Mounted Rack # Y01118 does not include mounting hardware. For general mounting, Yakima recommends 1/4" bolts. There is nothing specifically designed to mount it to the bed rail system in your 2024 Tacoma so it will be up to you to decide the best way to install it on the rails.

The Yakima BlockHead # Y01118 all come keyed unique. But if you wanted 2 keyed alike you would go ahead an order 2 and then get a set of Yakima lock cores, # Y07202, which comes with the change key to replace the locks in the BlockHeads. Because of the added expense it is probably easier to just have the 2 different keys.

As long as your bike has a 9mm skewer then you're not going to have any issues using the Yakima Locking BlockHead Single Bike Truck Bed Mounted Rack # Y01118 since there is no frame contact with the bike. Your frame won't get scratched up this way and you'll still be able to safely carry it in the back of your truck.
