Recommended Bike Rack and Ladder Rack or Roof Rack for Fishing Kayaks on 2002 Chevy 2500 6.5 Bed

Question:

I want to mount this on my weather guard toolbox And have the two bikes on either side of my truck bed would this work I have a 2002 2500hd crew can 6.5 foot bed. I will be getting a roof rack as well to carry to fishing kayaks as I pull my travel trailer just trying to get ideas for the perfect set up for me

The # Y01118 can mount to your Weather Guard toolbox. I recommend using the sealant # LT37467 to make sure your toolbox remains water tight at the mounting holes.

For your roof rack I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 65" Long - Qty 2 # RRVA165B-2, the 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA, and the Fit Kit # DK227. These bars will be longer than usual which you will need for two fishing kayaks. Then for your carrier, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Rear Loading Kayak Carrier - Saddle Style - Rear Loading - Channel Mount # RR581 for each fishing kayak. Make sure not to exceed your 130 lb load capacity for that roof rack.

You may want to consider the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Matte Black # TH27000XTB which would allow you the support for two fishing kayaks. The mounts # TH41000 will allow you to mount your tool box so there wouldn't be an issue with interference.
